This is great fun for the kids. It was easy to set up. There's room for two microphones (it comes with one, but you may buy another), and you can add an electric guitar.

I have a Sansa mp3 player, which connected easily and works well, though it doesn't seat in the mp3 holder well. That might hold an IPOD, but I don't know. It sits, but it's not well-seated and can fall out easily.

The mic volume can be controlled up or down and there are independent switches for each mic, but if the volume of the music is turned down, the mic is also turned down. There is no way to turn the mic volume so it is louder than the music. It is possible to turn the music completely off and sing to nothing.

There is an echo option which can be controlled to allow for more or less echo in the voice.

The vocal eliminator function will eliminate vocals from a track at the touch of a button. The vocals are not completely eliminated and the music is a little distorted, but that is to be expected when eliminating vocals from a track. It is not possible to do without a little distortion. It's a nice feature to have so we don't have to go out and buy a bunch of karaoke music.

The biggest drawback to this karaoke system over others is that it lacks the lyrics display. Of course, when using our regular mp3's, we don't have lyrics anyway; but there is no option of getting lyrics display if we wanted it. I simply go find the lyrics on the internet and print them out.

The kids enjoy this microphone. Sometimes, they don't necessarily use it for singing, but it's a fun system and we will get lots of enjoyment out of it as we have already.

I purchased this last christmas for my girls, 9 and 6. They absolutely LOVE it. It makes them feel like real performers. If you download the karaoke songs from iTunes, while in iTunes, right-click on the song and go to the "Lyrics" tab. I then go to the internet and look up the songs lyrics. I copy and paste the words under the "Lyrics" tab in iTunes. When you connect the ipod to the microphone stand, when you select the karaoke song, the lyrics show up on the screen! I would definitely recommend this product!

I have wanted a karaoke machine for years but hated having to buy so many cd's for the music. Well not anymore, I can use my own music. I loved this machine and so did my 3 kids. I have used it almost every day since I got it.

I do have 3 problems with the SingStand but for me personally it didn't take away enough to give it less than 5 stars. 1) The space for the ipod is not big enough. 2) When I first plugged it in it didn't work. I had to remove and insert the plug several times and then it worked fine. 3) The "vocal" button to remove the original vocals makes it sound kind of garbled. Again, for me these are not big issues but they might be to someone.

I would highly recommend this product.

I'm 70 years young, live alone, so I haven't disturbed anyone while having fun with my new "toy." It is well made and should give many years of enjoyment.

Like karaoke, but better, as long as you know the words. MP3 plugs in, you have the option of blocking out the words from the song to sing by yourself, or you can sing along with the artist. My 8 year old daughter got this for Christmas, and it is by far the favorite gift.

The memorex Sing Stand is awesome! My whole family became instant rock stars. Sound is good; Microphone clear. Easy to assemble and cart around the house and to friends homes, too.

Coolest Christmas gift ever! EVERYONE had a let-loose, share-the-good times day. The grandparents LOVED listening and watching their children and grandchildren perform. Took it with us on the road later in the day to our friends house and people were waiting to get on the microphone! I definitely suggest ordering a second mike! Thanks for the memories Memorex!! It was a gift for my son but turned out I used it more often. It works great with his iPod Touch! I used it as just regular microphone to sing with while I play piano. It's great Karaoke system to let you use your MP3 player and choose songs from it instead of buying CDs, DVDs, etc!

This is GREAT FUN!!!!! I sang and sang and sang all afternoon!!!! This was absolutely fun and the most realistic sound I have heard from a singing type machine!!!! BUY IT!!!!!

Found this on clearance at Walmart for $49.99 and couldn't pass it up. A 40 year old spending her Christmas gift cards on a karaoke system? Heck yeah! Went back to get more for gifts and all 5 were gone that same day. Always playing music around the house so knowing the words wasn't an issue. Cats chewed through the microphone cord and picked up 2 more at Walmart for cheap (same sound quality). we also use it without music as an amplification/mic system itself. Huge hit for all of my kids ages 9-20 and their friends. I am the new cool mom on the block...sweeet!
