It was a gift for my son but turned out I used it more often. It works great with his iPod Touch! I used it as just regular microphone to sing with while I play piano. It's great Karaoke system to let you use your MP3 player and choose songs from it instead of buying CDs, DVDs, etc!

This device makes it too difficult to balance the volume between one's voice and the music input. Also, it is difficult to control bass and treble. It is a nice idea, it is powerful enough, but the lack of ability to control the balance will cause me to return this product.

My daughter likes this item. The only thing the sound is not the greatest coming out of the speaker, but if your child likes to sing and perform with a microphone they will love this item.

I bought this for my daughter 2 yrs ago. It has been the absolute best purchase I have ever made for her. She uses it everyday! It is still in top condition after 2 yrs. I would recommend this for every singer whether for professionals to practice with or just for fun. Now my youngest daughter wants one, so this will probably be a birthday present in a couple of months. Highly recommended.

I gave this to my wife for her birthday, and she is happy with it. It's a terrific alternative to the karaoke concept; however, I think it would be most useful with karaoke music, as the vocal muting function is a poor feature. It does not really work very well. Also, the holder for the player, as other reviewers have indicated, could have been designed differently, and does a marginal job of holding the player in a secure fashion. Other than that, sound is great, microphone seems fine, the stand is compact, cute, and seems fairly high quality. Would buy it again.

We bought this for our 10-year old daughter who loves to sing in her bedroom. The product is a lot of fun and she and her friends love using it, but it's not as durable as I would have liked as a parent. The microphone holder broke off in two places not long after she got it. Wire clips have broken off too. Superglue did not fix them. The only way to replace that holder is to order the big round piece called the "micromedia player holder" and have it shipped from overseas which costs about $20 and takes up to 3 months to get here. A little disappointed about that...

I bought this for my children for Christmas with a drum set and a guitar. My 2 and 5 year old love to sing, but the adjustable stand does not come down far enough. I read the reviews about the mic holder breaking easily. My children had company and before they left the holder was broken and the mic had been pulled apart. I have to try to repurchase the broken piece but I dont think they will be playing with it with young friends anymore because it is rally nice and I would like to have it for a while.

After searching for this product vigorously I found it on Amazon for $20 less!!! Not only did we get it at a good price but the product is amazing! The sound quality is good and it is fun for the entire family.

We purchased this microphone instead of a traditional karaoke machine for our kids. We didn't want the expense of buying karaoke cds. We are very happy with the quality and function of this microphone. We just plug in our mp3 players and the kids can sing along with all the songs they already have. Plus the coolest feature is that with the push of a button it becomes a karaoke machine by taking away the vocal tracks. Worth the money, a great purchase.

I purchased the Memorex Singstand for my husband after seeing it on "The View." It's wonderful and works as demonstrated on the program. You can connect your iPod or MP3 player to it and sing along with the songs. It has a feature that allows you to minimize the lead vocals on some songs, giving you the music and background vocals, allowing you to better hear the person who is singing (this feature does not work on all songs). It has an "echo" feature to it,also, giving an echo sound to one's voice (whether singing or talking). You can also hook up a guitar and amp to it. The Singstand is great and my family loves it. Loads of fun! I recommend the Singstand for people who like music and/or singing.
