The Memorex MPD8610-01 lets you savor CDs and CD-based MP3 files wherever you are. The unit's handy MP3 search feature makes ample use of its blue, four-line backlit LCD, letting you seek out songs by subject, title, or artist. Also, the player supports packet-write and multi-session discs, providing greater flexibility in compiling custom MP3 music mixes.

A 45-second electronic anti-shock system (120-second ESP in MP3 mode) helps guard your listening against interruptions during active use. A 1-bit DA converter produces clear, strong audio, and the unit has a bass boost button if a little more low-end listening slam is needed. Other CD functions include 21-track programmable sequencing, standard track skip (up/down), random play, and repeat (track or disc). The player comes with stereo headphones and runs on 2 AA batteries (not supplied).

Find another MP3 CD Player for this price, and with a recognizable brand name on it. I did a ton of research prior to purchasing this player, and I just kept comming back to the price, feature for feature it is basically the same as models that cost alot more. Lets face it it is a PORTABLE player, every one that I have owned gets dropped, smashed, left, or stolen before I ever wear it out. Why not spend as little as possible and enjoy the product and not have to worry about loosing, or breaking it all the time. If it gets broken who cares, heck, buy 2 or 3 and have a back up player for the day when it gets broken, it happens to all of them eventually, yes even the expensive models. No I don't think a more expensive model is more durable.

I have had this model for quite some time now, I think about 6 months. I Skate with it, work out with it, bike with it, and yes it has taken a few tumbles and is scratched, and dented, but it still works, now if it were an expensive model when it crashed to the ground the first 20 times I would have been really upset, but at this price, I'll just get another one. ... I think I am going to buy another one just in case next time mine hits the pavement it gives up the ghost.

Roses are Red, Bluetiful CD Players are Blue, and if your smart, you'll buy one of these too...

O.K., I know pretty bad, but music puts me in a good mood, and for some reason so does Blue, especially the Blue on this Player.

I don't know why someone else has bashed my beloved CD Player, I have had mine for a little over a year, and have had no problems what so ever. It is the first Memorex product that I have purchased and I would definetly recomend the brand. I was looking at CD-MP3 Players at 3 and 4 X the cost, a friend purchased a Sony and paid over $$$ and mine will do everything that his does, and at the price I paid if it breaks I could buy 3 more for what he paid.

Overall, this thing is awsome for the price. I would, and do recomend this player to anyone, especially those just getting into MP3 Files, it is a great product at a great price to find out if you like MP3 Files, and MP3 CD Players.

I used to have a Sony minidisc player and like it a lot, but this machine sounds as good as the expensive Sony machine, and can play an MP3 CD with a few hundred songs on it.

The shock isolation works well and there is no hissing sound when it isn't playing anything.

I'm retiring the Sony minidisc player and going to use this from now on!
