1.0 out of 5 stars The "coaster" ratio is much too high, April 27, 2008
This review is from: Memorex 120 min. (sp)/4.7 GB DVD+R 16x Light Scribe (10-pack) (Electronics)
I run a small online business selling sports games on dvd. These were the first disks I tried out, and the results were not good. I got used to about one out of every three burns generating errors from the dvd burning software about not being able to verify the accuracy of the disk info. So it was a revelation when I finally started to try other brands -- like Magnavox, which generates absolutely no errors.

Not recommended. Not only the disk burning errors, but the dull cast of the lightscribe finish cost me more than one repeat customer.

This product mostly ended up as coasters since they did not burn properly, only 2 out of the 10 burned correctly. I purchased some other brands before and after these and they all burned fine.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worked well, no complaints here, February 5, 2008
This review is from: Memorex 120 min. (sp)/4.7 GB DVD+R 16x Light Scribe (10-pack) (Electronics)
I see a few of the other reviewers have had trouble with the discs not burning correctly, in other words, ending up with "coasters." I just wanted to comment that I picked up this 10-pack of discs last week and have had no issues at all. I've only got a disc or two left and all have burned perfectly.

As far as the LightScribe labels turning out a little dull, well I do agree. One solution I have found is to run it through the program a time or two more - it will darken a bit each time. Also, don't worry about the images/text not aligning on a second burn, they will.

So I am sorry that some people have had trouble with the discs, that is unfortunate. I just wanted to take a moment to let everyone know that they were working fine for me. I may try a second brand (Verbatim) when these run out, but that mostly would be due to price and packaging, not the quality of the discs themselves.
