Editorial Reviews

From the Author

I wrote this book out of a lot of pain that I had gone through. It is a book about loss and it is a book about pain. I wanted to express the feelings through a fictional fantasy story where I could make a heroine as strong as the emotions running wild inside all of us.
I also wanted to write a new style of fantasy. I wanted a new form where the reader can fall into the book and be kept inside not of their own free will but that of the book.
In writing this book I felt I reached a new way to express a story that would bring it to life inside all of us by finding that one dark place where we run to hide and exploiting it.

More About the Author

Raised by a single mother in the mountains of Santa Barbara California.
First Amazon Kindle Ebook "God Life without Religion".
The book is mainly a call for equal rights as shown through the constant oppression of women and men who do not choose to follow one of the accepted religions. The book is written in a memoir style as it deals with hard choices of my own personal life.

Memories (Amber Light Series, Volume 1)
This book is a character driven dark fantasy. The place and time is not some far distant or long forgotten world but here and now. The series kicks off in Japan and promises to encompass the world.
Come now to a world where druidic magic lives and thrives to keep the balance of what the mundane refuse to see.

Brotherhood (Amber Light Series, Volume 2)
Spells of magick and wonder as two opposing forces fight for superiority with love stuck in the middle. Masumi learning new spells is working hard to get back the love stolen from her. The order of the Guardians is revealed to her. The steps taken towards a whole new world can not be undone.
In the meantime Mark is being taken farther and farther away.

The world of Amber Light opens up to show who is fighting for what. The rules of the game change as one is mortally wounded.

Reviewer: I am a pagan and the ceremonies in the book ring true to the craft. The use of light and runes for the magick spells holds true to their intended use.

Pen name: Jin Okubo

Current release: Love

I wrote love because I was tired of the fake romance stories that are out there. I wanted real emotions and not this Fantasy being forced into romance fiction that is happening so readily these days.
