Most informative,interesting,humorous book on poet.,

This review is from: Memories of My Father, Joyce Kilmer (Hardcover)
First hand account, pictures, letters and poems of poet and his wife make this one of the best on the subject. Warmth, humor and association with press people, military, etc. make the author of "Trees" and other works come alive. Apparently, J. Kilmer an early Women's Rights Advocate and ecologist. The author and eldest son of the poet is fair, witty and without the "sugary" prose of admiring child. Never before seen NY TIMES articles of the poet, documents, personal letters, pictures and family writings add to the uniqueness. Easy Reading.

This review is from: Memories of My Father, Joyce Kilmer (Hardcover)
This book is particularly recommended for students of early twentieth century English and American literature. Kenton Kilmer, like both his parents (Joyce and Aline Kilmer), was a poetry editor. The index is thorough, and provides clues to the relationships between many early twentieth century writers and their works.
