I bought this book as a gift for my mother. As anyone considering the purchase of this book, I have a deep affection for Pinecrest. It was our familys "place." My first memories are from Pinecrest. I caught my first fish there, learned to ski at Dodge Ridge, totalled my parents car there, etc.

Anyhow, this is a fun little book about the authors experiences at Pinecrest. Truth be told I was hoping for more local history and tidbits about Pinecrest, the ampitheatre, the lake, the general store, and so on. While I enjoyed the book and authors memories, what I really want is a coffee table book about Pinecrest, Strawberry, Diamond Jim's, Kelly's Kitchen, Dodge Ridge, the old boy scout camp, the Steam Donkey, the ampitheatre, the old ski hill, the marina, the forest service campground, Blue and Gold camps, Cleo's Baths, and the list goes on!
