This review is from: Memory Card Adapter for Sony PS2 to PS3 (Video Game)
Works exactly like it was supposed to. Transfered all my saves over from my 8MB Sony Memory Card. It did NOT work with my 16MB Max Memory Card, not will it work with any other 3rd Party memory cards, as it is stated in the manual. This problem is alleviated by simply transferring the data from the 16MB one to the 8MB one (via the PS2 browser) and then onto the PS3. Also, I was able to transfer a save back to my memory card. I have only do in twice, I downloaded a save and got a save for Final Fantasy X emailed to me. Unlike the review titled "read the fine print" you CAN go transfer PS2 saves from you PS3 to your PS2 8MB Memory card. What he doesn't understand is, via an update this was enabled. Also, what they posted on the Sony website is not true. It is just a way for you to buy their $30 memory card adapter by making you worry about data corruption. Also, to the person who said it was fragile. Yeah, the connection from the back of the adapter to the end of the cable is barely wobbly, but the construction is sturdy. It has the same construction of the Official Sony one. Unless you rip out the card or bash it, it won't break. The only qualms I have about it is the cable is on the short side (as long as it can reach a solid surface and is not hanging you should ave no problem) and the memory card needs a little tug to get it out. You have to hold onto the sides and jiggle it side to side once while pulling (lightly) to get it out.

This review is from: Memory Card Adapter for Sony PS2 to PS3 (Video Game)
I bought a 60gb PS3 about a month ago, and I wanted to keep all my saves from my PSone and PS2 memory cards and let my friend have my PS2 console. I saw this adapter was much cheaper than the official Sony adapter, so I bought this one without thinking twice. The first one I recieved trasfered my data from the 1st memory card no problem, then it breaks. I had another one shipped so I could transfer the data from the other memory card, which it did just fine, but now I have no reason to use it, so it just gathers dust in my desk. This particular memory card adapter is really fragile, and you must remove the memory cards easily so you don't have the same problem as I did. If you plan just transfering data 1 or 2 times, then get this one, but if you plan to use it frequently, then you want to buy the Sony version.

I got this product intending to use it for transferring PS2 files from my PC to PS3 then PS3 to PS2. However, the PC does not recognize the Adapter software so you can only use it on a PS3. If you read what its for though it says no PC so it does what its supposed to.
