On the plus side, these cards are very sturdy, which is necessary for playing with little ones.

On the downside - and it's a big downside - they're extremely oversized. While that's helpful in playing card games where you hold the cards in your hand, it makes playing Memory extremely difficult. They simply take up too much space. Haba makes a very nice wooden memory set that takes up much less space, or, for that matter, Hasbro makes a very sturdy set of cardboard which you probably remember from your own childhood. Either of those would be better choices than this set.

We love these cards! This is just the start of teaching my grandson 'card games', as well as working on memory. I show him several (5-10) before I place them face down on the table. Then I take the matching card (all of the great pictures come in sets of two) and ask him to point to which one (of the face down cards) it is. Then he gets BOTH of them (to stack up on his 'winning' pile!) and he feels like he won a prize! What fun & as he gets older, we'll do more & more. Its kind of like that box game "Concentration", only for tiny tikes! BTW: very cute pictures on the cards!!

My father suffered a stroke and I used these flash cards to help him re-learn several items. They had some difficult words included in the deck.

I brought these for my girlfriend after she kept borrowing my cell phone to play this game. Yes this is the lowtech version but she likes it and so does the 5yr olds she plays with. This is a classic game and helps kids and adults exercise your mind. Put away the xbox and go back to the basics, your mind will thank you for it later!

My kids absolutely love this game and it passes the time by quickly. I have a 4, 6, 8 and a 14 yr old. When they are bored, they pull this game out and can play for hours. I like the fact that the cards are large, it makes it less likely for them to bend or tear them easily like they do with smaller or regular size cards. I even have fun when I play this with them!

This is a great, inexpensive option for those who want a memory game. My 4-year old nephew loves using the cards. They have big, clear images on them. I lay them out for him, and we turn them over together. The cards are not thick but, made of sturdy enough stock to last through games with a pre-schooler. For my 2-year old's chubby hands, I would choose a memory game with thicker, smaller pieces but we are not at that stage with him yet.

I purchased the cards for my 3 year old daughter. I only use 20 cards at a time when I play with her so she is not so overwhelmed with matching 26 pairs at a time! She loves them!
