4.0 out of 5 stars great game for Pooh fans
My 4 year old daughter loves this game(and loves Winnie the Pooh)! We started out using only half of the matching cards and each time we play it we would add a couple more. This version is more difficult than the original Memory because the cards look very similair, but this just makes it more challenging. If your child gets frustrated easily or is closer to 3 years...

1.0 out of 5 stars Skip It
I bought this game at a yard sale (...). I was not worth it. The cards all look the same (Pooh bear with a fishing pole, Pooh with a golf club, ect). It is very hard to tell the cards apart. I would skip this one and buy another memory game.

3.0 out of 5 stars Get the "Original" memory game instead!, October 9, 2000

The cards for this game consist of 6 of the Pooh characters in different scenes, e.g. Pooh with butterfly, Rabbit with cabbage, etc. While our family (including our 5 yr old son) LOVE the Original memory game, this one is very difficult, even for adults. Try remembering the location of Pooh in a straw hat and Pooh in a sailboat and Pooh eating honey...

This is a cute idea, but frankly the pictures are far too similar for a pre-schooler just starting out. Go with the original Memory game and call it a day.

Unfortunately, the cards aren't as durable as the memory games of old. And holy man, there are a ton of cards! I'm sure that is great with smaller kids, but once they get mixed up, try to sort out a few for your young toddler just learning matching!

The problem I found was that it has too many cards for smaller children, and bigger kids aren't as interested. So this one will be put on the shelf for a while, hopefully won't spill, and will be taken out at just the right moment to hold my daughter's interest (Yeah right???)

1.0 out of 5 stars Box of Cards, March 29, 2004

This isn't a game as much as a box of picture cards. There are way too many of them to play a match game with younger children and the picture are too small and many are too similar. I had this game through three children and all we did was sort picture cards by character.

I bought this game for my 3 year old son, and it is so hard!! My husband and I tried playing it with him, and it was difficult even for us. Many of the cards have the same characters, so it is hard to remember, "Was that Tigger on a pogo stick, or Tigger on a swing?".... I don't have the orignal Memory Game, but am considering buying it instead.

We decided to buy my daughter a memory game and we bought this one and we tried to play it with her many times but it was too confusing for her. There are too many cards to lay down so we would have to use less than half of them to make it simple for her and the pictures had the same characters and some of the pictures looked similar and she got confused because she thought she had a match and she didn't and got frustrated so she quit asking to play it.

My older daughter received this game when she was 2 1/2. She played it all the time. Now she is 7 and her younger sister is 5 1/2. This was their favorite game, out of our whole closet full, until about a year ago. I can't even begin to count how many times we played it.They loved the matching version , but then they created their own sorting game too. Also used it as money when they played store. Although they stopped playing with it, they won't get rid of it. It is pretty durable as long as you keep it out of babies and puppies mouths.

This game is less than thrilling, much less than thrilling for my granddaughter who usually loves memory games. The pieces are small with pictures that are hard to distinguish one from another and it is made out of cardboard. At half the price, you would get what you paid for. Give this toy a miss!
