Raised in a home where learning was encouraged Jason Scotts was exposed to quite a number of things form an early age. As he matured he was exposed to even more things until it came to a point where he was able to follow up on his own interests. As such he developed an interest in memory improvement among other things.

Jason was interested in learning everything that he could about improving memory as he was finding that he was challenged with remembering certain things. He did the necessary research and found quite a few ideas that he tried; some worked well and some not so well.

This led him to start working on another book that would just highlight all the ones that he found worked for him and his friends that he had asked to try it as well. The greatest thing is that these methods would have shown some level of success in just a month.

The statements are fine - and interesting - and may actually have authority - but I wish the author had provided more background, such as citing and explaining the studies that led to these statements. Also wish the book had included a 30-day plan as promised (or at least intimated) in the title. But the statements and suggestions are interesting and worth exploring further.

I learned something new right away in this book. Did you know there are seven kinds

of memory? I didn't, but the author does, and he tells us what they are and why they

are important. Then he tells us the simple ways to exercise our memories. Memory

just like our physical muscles must be exercised. I was surprised to learn that

there are certain foods that will help our memories and the author tells us exactly

what they are. Then he gives us ten ways to improve our long term memory. Wow.
He goes on to give us the best techniques to help our memories. And there is much

much more. This is a good book to help with enhancing your memory. If you need help

in boosting your memory, and who doesn't? I recomend this book most highly.

I have bought this book because I have always been interested in topics that relate to improving your brain power. And I wasn't disappointed; the book contains concise, easy to read information and hands on advice on how to boost your memory. I was especially intrigued by the information contained in the chapter about breathing; so far it never occurred to me that by taking long, deep breaths we ensure that we feed our brains enough oxygen to let it function properly. I read somewhere else that everyday stress makes us takes shallow breaths instead of deep ones, so making deliberate effort to take deep breaths will alleviate stress; now in this book I read that this very action will also help enhance our memory. Interesting!

This is a very timely book for the baby boom generation concerned about the high rate of dementia and alzheimer. I know many seniors who have this concern.
