2.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing, August 20, 2008

First off, I love Bathory so most of this review has little to do with the music.
This set is very badly put together-the booklet is a cut and paste version of the official website and the thought given to tracklisting is minimal. It seems like the ultimate rush job and in all honesty, kind of disrespectful to Quorthon's at times arguably flawed vision.
A band as good, and as seminal as Bathory, deserve much better.
Like I said, the music is generally great but if you are new to Bathory, or own some, but not all of their stuff, I'd recommend you forget this. Go and buy the first six, then Blood On Ice and the two Nordland releases.

1.0 out of 5 stars Ripping off the dead, January 5, 2007
This review is from: In Memory of Quorthon (3CD / DVD) (Audio CD)
Why not put out a complete box set of every thing Quorthon did before his untimely death? 90 bucks for 3 cds and one worthless dvd. can you say, "rip off?" this is just an insult to Bathory. those same horribly mastered cds have been available since 1990. if they couldn't put out box set with all his material why can't they put out a complete remastered catalog? oh, wait, they'll do that later after they've ripped-off as many suckers as they can with this "tribute." Black Mark continues to suck. is this label even still active?!?
