This is a neat little thing. It will do the regular size and the mini. I like that part. There is one downfall. You can not delete data while using this. I like to delete pictures I don't like but this thing automatically flips the button to lock when you enter it in. Now I have to do all the deleting from the camera. Plus, you have to remember to "unlock" it when you put it back into your camera. Other than that I love it.

Doesn't work well with SDHC (>2GB) which is why I brought it. It's a toss up weather it will mount at all and I usually have to try several times. ...also runs really hot. It spontaneously unmounted in the middle of data transfer and killed my card which I had to reformat. I got it for free as a promotion and its easy to see why they are giving these away. You'd be better off spending a little more for a better product.

Despite the 6-in-1 label, it really only reads standard sized SD/MMC cards natively. To read the smaller formats, you must use one of the adapters that slides the smaller units into a standard SD sized carrier. Then it works fine, but it means you need to mess with an extra piece of hardware.

Being unable to give "Zero or Negative" stars...

I got two of these, hoping to be able to read my 4gb and 8gb SDHC cards. Unfortunately, this reader does not recognize them. Hey, even garden-variety 2GB cards are not recognized... The product packaging itself does not mention HC either...

But - at five bucks, it even does not deserve returning back...

This is all you need. It is cheaper and equally efficient plus it works with SD and mircoSD memories. I forgot about cables and bluetooth adaptors to move pictures from my camera to my PC, and to move music from my PC to my cell phone.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Tried with Vista and Mac OS X. I plugged in the SD card before plugging the device into the computer's USB port. Used with SanDisk Extreme III 2 GB, and SanDisk microSD 2 GB with SD adapter.

I thought I had seen a review from someone that said they couldn't write information to the memory card when using this device, only read from it. Im not sure why they are having problems, I have none with the read or write functions using this unit. I use it to transfer mp3s to a 2GB Sandisk card and play on my garmin gps, and it works perfect.

Awesome design, easy to handle, and fast, very fast read/write. Very happy, and what's even better is they gave it to me free with a SD Micro purchase.

Similar to so many of the reviews, I got this device very cheap but XP (service pack 3) on two of my machines won't recognize it. When I put my card in another SD reader everything is fine so it isn't the card. I can't seem to find any drivers on the seller's site and the product is branded with their logo. Other companies brand with the same basic device. I ripped it open (since who wants to return something so cheap) and it uses an Alcor AU6332 chip as the controller, but there are no special drivers since it's supposed to work with default drivers unless you're on 98. I'm throwing it in the trash right now. *plunk*

Unless you feel lucky, I wouldn't buy one of these. Try something slightly more expensive that has a chance of working.

Ordered two Sandisk 4GB MicroSDHC memory cards with SD adapters. Digital Media Source (the store where the memory card and adapter came from) offered this card reader free with the purchase. One of the readers worked perfectly, the other gives an error message whenever a memory card or combo card is inserted in the reader. Unfortunately, I spent a couple of hours trying to get the bad one to work before I finally tried the other reader and found it worked.
