I developed wrist tendinitis within 2 years of my first computer job, and went for treatment to health clinics and consulted an ergonomist. I was prescribed Ibu Proffen and some changes to my keyboard and posture, but nothing helped...till I came across this "Quill Mouse" advertised online, and thought of giving it a try.

After using the mouse for a few months, I'm happy to announce that my wrist tendinitis has virtually disappered - with no drugs or physical therapy! Amazing what a simple change in ergonomics can do!

I would advise anyone suffering from wrist problems like tendinits or carpal tunnel to give this mouse a try. It's well worth the money!

This is a great ergonomic mouse. I've had it for over 2.5 years and have used it with Windows XP and Vista. No problems with any of these operating systems. It greatly helped with my hand symptoms much more than anything else I tried. I really notice the difference the times I have to use a regular mouse or even worse a trackpoint. I put a small pad where my little finger and upper hand rests which also helped me and made using the mouse more comfortable. Highly recommended.

Note: I've only used it for regular computer work (writing, internet surfing, etc.) - not for gaming, or any kind of artistic/photoshop activities - so I can't comment on how well it works for those purposes.

This is truly the ultimate mouse for arthritic hands. Even without arthritis it is extremely comfortable - no fatigue whatsoever even if you're on the computer for hours. Well worth the investment.

I bought two of these (different colors) and they both intermittently lost power and came back to life, causing the mouse cursor to stop responding for a few seconds every time. This rendered the mouse practically unusable. It could be that I got two duds, especially since I bought used ones for low prices. Still, I observed precisely the same problem with two different units, so there must be a relatively high chance of this problem occurring with these devices.

I have worked with one of these that did work properly and it was a wonderful experience! This mouse is very comfortable and does actually reduce strain considerably.

Many people have wrist pains because they move normal mice by twisting their wrist. Some vertical mice still allow you to move the mouse by twisting your wrist, just in a different direction. This mouse has a resting place for your wrist attached to it, forcing you to move the mouse with your shoulder and elbow instead of your wrist, thus really allowing you to avoid wrist pains.

Another common mouse-induced pain is from the clicking motion, usually pains in the fingers or back of the hand. The Quill mouse can help reduce these pains since clicking its mouse buttons is done using the entire length of the finger, not just the fingertip. Clicking this way actually feels much more natural than with normal mice!

In conclusion, this is a truly great mouse, just make sure you are able to have it replaced in case you get a problematic unit.

they don't really tell you the sizing of this unit, and it only comes in 1 size!! i have a big hand, and it just didn't fit. i had to curl my fingers back to hit the scroll wheel and buttons, causing more pain than the regular mouse! and the heel of my hand didn't fit in the mouse, so my hand was twisted. all the pictures show a lady's hand, and it must be small!!

...but it's not worth the trouble if you constantly switch between the keyboard and the mouse. And of course it's useless for games or any situation where you need high precision.

Broke mechanically in ONE hour of use, a plastic part inside that holds the buttons in place came lose and was rattling around inside and the buttons kept falling out. I fixed this myself. Within three or four weeks the mouse started to halt and hang during movement, the Chinese electrical parts failed. Awful manufacturer's support. Good ergo design rendered useless by poor Chinese quality control. DO NOT buy this mouse.
