may be No Band in the Happy Place, but MRK makes me happy, September 30, 2002

I saw these guys at a small show and was blown away by their performance. They are polished and fun, and the CD is no different. If you are not quite sure what to listen to-- feeling a little bit country AND a little bit rock n roll-- can't help your attraction to a pop beat that gets your foot tapping, but you also need a dash of blues to take the edge off-You should check out MRK--both in this debut album as well as their new release. These are the discs you'll find perpetually in my player and the songs constantly swimming in my head. The tunes are so catchy they won't let you go. The guitar with just a touch of twang is the common thread throughout an album so eclectic, there is something for every listener. I can't stop listening and look forward to the drive I have accompanied by this good times music. Check it out and it will most likely become a favorite player for you too. Also, check them out live if you can.
