Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
Otis Redding, William Bell, Sam and Dave, Wilson Pickett, Booker T. and The MG's, Judy Clay, Carla Thomas and others featured here were all key figures in the Memphis Soul explosion of the 1960s and the music they (and their producers and songwriters) created still sounds fresh, invigorating and timeless after all these years. This is some of the greatest R&B ever recorded and most of these tracks still get considerable airplay on oldies stations. Sweet Classic Soul.
