What a book( I was fortunate to obtain one with BoB pilots signatures on it)This book gives you the details of each pilot who took part in The Battle including when he joined his Squadron and any other Squadron he served with during the war.
It gives details of his actions and if known what happened to him after the war.It is great to read this book along with The Battle Of Britain Now and Then.Between the two books it gives you an insite (a very small insite)into what it must have been like during the Battle of Britain for these very brave men?-boys.

This book is one of those extremely rare authoritive sources that comes around only once every 5 to 10 years. It is simply that good. Kenneth Wynn's painstaking research really shows in this book. Every pilot and aircrewman who flew for the British during the Battle of Britain has an entry with his career, promotion dates, awards and for many, a photo. I cannot praise this book enough and it certainly MUST be reprinted at some point, as it needs to be in every library. It is a shame that so much paper is wasted on coffee table books, but real books like this one become rare as hen's teeth.
