2.0 out of 5 stars Poor and tedious game.
Thank heavens I bought this in a clearance sale. It did not keep my attention for long and for 2 reasons. First, it is a very easy game and very quickly finished and second, there just wasn't enough going on.

And surprisingly, it's not very violently. Presenting "Men in Black: the Game" the game to 1997's #1 movie in the box office. You take the role of James Edwards, better known as Agent "J" or "Jay". But at first, you're a cop on a chase for a runaway suspect, whom is actually a Alien. after catching him, you join MIB (stand for, well, you know) which is earth's police against aliens. Your first mission is to the north pole to uncover a mystery involving the disapearence of several workers. You choose between 3 different (actually, 4, including a hidden charecter name Agent "X") charecters; Agent "K", L" or "J". The rest is your destiny.

The Game is a little odd at first, especailly how the charecters walk and talk. The models for them are very well done, looking like the actual actors. The voiceover is very corny, though. The guns are very well done, too. Especailly the Nerilezer, the one that makes human memory blank out. Sometimes, the whole battle is very odd. I though MIB was supposed to protect Humans? Instead, in this game, you can kill them or nerilize them. The Nerilizer you can only use twice, too. Budget cuts. Well, anyways, it's a good game.

Thank heavens I bought this in a clearance sale. It did not keep my attention for long and for 2 reasons. First, it is a very easy game and very quickly finished and second, there just wasn't enough going on.

The graphics were atmospheric and did create a cool mood similar to that of the movie but the sound was barely noticed. Slight music and sound effects kicked in once or twice each level and the voices were so obviously not Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.

Puzzles are easily solved and there is practically no mystery. The gameplay is simply dull. Character control is shockingly dated and there isn't even much for them (you can play K,J or um...Linda Fiorentino)to do. All you basically do is walk around in a very limited environment where usually nothing fills the screen.

Considering the scale and ambition of so many modern games this one seems extremely primitive in comparison. Definitely not worth attention for anyone over the age of 8.

The movie was good but the game doesnt make sense. the first level sort of follows the movie. sort of. the other levels dont go with it at all. I cant even get through the second level. i had to use the level select code. And you have to do all this insane [stuff] in the last level. ITZ STUPID! And the noisy criket barly does any damage to the bad guy and it doesnt push you back far enogh. in my eyes it [wasn't good]. i dont think it was worth the money... but thats just my opinion.
