"Too Hot to Handle" by Susan Lyons

Jade Rousseau is a woman in a man's world at work. No matter how hard she works it seems that she is penalized for not also having a family life. So when it comes to pass that she will need a fiancé to be able to move ahead her friends set out to help her. At the local benefit auction Jade is going to bid on yet another boring accountant but her friends interfere and she winds up with Quinn O'Malley, who, as a red-hot firefighter, is the furthest thing from an accountant than you can get.

"Too Hot to Handle" was a fun and very fast-paced erotic offering by Susan Lyons. I loved how Quinn was portrayed to go for what he wanted and to show Jade what she was missing. As usual, you ask for a strong story and get one from Ms. Lyons.

"The Firefighter Wears Prada" by Rachelle Chase

Fashion designer Delta Ballantyne needs a firefighter to model her sexy line of men's underwear. What she doesn't count on is firefighter Evan Marshall and all the fantasies that run through her mind when she sees him. Evan, on the other hand, can't wrap his mind around Delta's designer clothing, as he sees it as a huge waste of money, due to an ex-wife. Will Delta and Evan be able to overcome their own hang ups and set the sheets on fire?

Rachelle Chase has taken an interesting look at not only the fashion industry with "The Firefighter Wears Prada," but also the everyday blue collar worker and their perceptions of the fashion industry. I was intrigued with this story though I did feel like it as a bit rushed. I felt it would have done better as a longer, standalone story.

TWO HOT TO HANDLE by Susan Lyons
Jade Rousseau loves working at the Families First Foundation but the simple fact that she isn't married and has no prospects in the near future could cost her the opportunity to advance to the position as the CEO. It's not that she doesn't want to marry and have children, but the right man hasn't stepped into her life yet. With the aid of her friends Amarjeet and Kimberly she devises a plan. For the sake of her job, she'll find a fake fiance and in the interest of finding a real husband she'll embark on a series of one time luncheon or coffee `dates' with acceptable men. Surely finding Mr. Right won't be that hard. She just didn't expected her friends to bid on the smoldering firefighter she couldn't take her eyes off of at the `It's Raining Men' benefit auction. Could Quinn O'Malley be exactly what she needs despite her aversion to `risk takers?'

Susan Lyons delivers a smoldering hot storyline with plenty of humor and emotion in her story TWO HOT TO HANDLE. Jade and Quinn are passionate about each other as well as their occupations. It's Jade's determination to find someone `safe' that makes it almost blinds her to the possibilities of loving Quinn.

THE FIREFIGHTER WEARS PRADA by Rachelle Chase
Clothing is such an important part of fashion designer Delta Ballantyne's life that she can't imagine anyone not understanding the powerful way it makes a person feel. That is until she meets firefighter Evan Marshall. She believes he'll be the perfect model for her new line of sexy men's underwear, but rather than jumping at the opportunity he insists there's no way he wants anything to do with her or her clothing line.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Harriet Klausner #1 HALL OF FAME on November 2, 2009
Format: Paperback
"Too Hot to Handle" by Susan Lyons. Jade Rousseau needs a fiancé to escort her to her company's social events. She may have found her man when she outbids her friends for firefighter Quinn O'Malley at a benefit event.

"The Firefighter Wears Prada" by Rachelle Chase. Fashion designer Delta Ballantyne asks firefighter Evan Marshall to model her line of men's underwear although she would not mind personally modeling him.

"Playing With Fire" by Jodi Lynn Copeland. Firefighter Lincoln Gabriel has helped Erica Donelson ever since her husband, his best friend, dumped her, but now wants more than friendship from her.

Though resolutions are too quick, these are three enjoyable erotic romances starring women who know how to bring the heat from the firefighters in their professional and personal lives.
