In a witty and clear style, Dr. John Gray provides important tools which I have found I can quickly apply in my primary relationship. As a psychotherapist, I also rely heavily on the concepts he introduces to teach couples who come to see me about relationship issues. What's great is that with John Gray's helpful, clarifying metaphors and straight talk, people really connect with the concepts and find they speak directly to their experience. With a few adjustments in what partners are doing, they find much less friction and a much greater sense of teamwork. This video set is a life-changer!

After 11 years of marriage, our communication had really broken down. The videos prompted a lot of discussion while we were watching them. I knew that John Gray had really gotten through to my husband about our communication styles when my husband said, "We should watch these every month."

I had read excerpts from this book and had seen the video. I purchased this book to give it as a wedding gift as I found that many of these things helped me when I first got married. Simple things like allowing my husband to go to his "cave" when he is mad and not to chase him down with insentient words. It is a great book that helps you understand the basics of your spouse and why they react so differently than you do to life situations. It is written by a husband and wife and they have wonderful insights that everyone can glean some bits of wisdom from.

Avoid buying this one...it contains but one simple concept but drags on, and on, with no particular place to go.
