I am a distance runner...suffer from chronic short hamstrings/strains. Would drive to physical therapy or beg to borrow their huge/expensive ultrasound machine & TENS unit to use at home. Physical therapy works, and is essential to fast/effective healing---esp. when training for a big race...w/ this little ultrasound, I can rehab quickly at home....and prevent future injuries which keeps me running and enjoying the sport rather than nursing an injury and dealing w/ pain. The benefits of therapeutic ultrasound are well known to me. However, large, professional machines are impractical for home use. I suffer with a miserably arthritic knee. While perusing Amazon, I decided it was worth a search for portable ultrasound devices.
The positive reviews bolstered my faith that a portable ultrasound machine may actually provide relief comparable to the profession ones. All I needed to prove this thought true, was several treatments. In less than three days the results far exceed my expectations. My knee, and therefore my life, are much improved.

Be aware that this device does not buzz, hum, or otherwise give you an indication that it is working. After a few minutes of use, the ultrasonic end become warm. This is usual with with professional models as well. The ultrasound gel contains menthol, which gives the area to which it is applied a warm sensation similar to ben-gay. In my case, this warm sensation was nice.

I truly hope this machine will last through daily use, for many years. My mobility is greatly improved, and I do not intend to lapse backward. Thank you for a wonderful product.

UPDATE:
This product worked. The swelling and pain in my arthritic knee are greatly decreased. In addition, I went to the website and noticed they offered a combination of ultrasound and infra-red heat wrap for the knee. A quick e-mail inquiry resulted in MendMe offering me the combination price (a tremendous savings), with the purchase of the infra-red knee heat wrap. MendMe also threw in an additional bottle of ultrasound gel.
The wrap arrived within a couple of days. Using the combination of ultrasound, and the heat wrap, I can truly say that my life is vastly improved. The pain and swelling have decreased to a point where I can walk, and sleep. These are excellent products, sold by a company dedicated to customer service. What a refreshing combination.

I developed a severe tennis elbow over 20 years ago (not caused by tennis), that never went away. When I say severe, I mean not being able to lift things, even handshakes were painful. I could no longer straighten my arm.

I have been an avid tennis player in my youth. Work got in the way, but now that I'm retired, I wanted to start playing again. As soon as I started to hit some balls, the pain came back. Desperately looking for a solution, I discovered that with the right stretching techniques, building strength and using the ultrasound, gel, infra-red heat pads and the ice-pack, there was a chance of recovery. I started using the exercises and ordered the equipment, albeit fearful of "one of those" expensive duds. But I had nothing to loose.

After several days of relentlessly following the program of warming-up, stretching, ultrasound, heatpad, and all the while playing tennis (against a wall initially), the pain went away, and I could start to build the strength in my arm again. I used Ibroprofen to help manage the pain and inflammation, and the heat pack as soon as the arm was warm to the touch.

After 4 weeks, I was able to play matches, and now, after about 6 weeks, my arm is back at 90%. You cannot imagine what this has meant to me. This treatment really works.

It gets even better. While starting to play more and more aggressively, I strained some muscles in my legs. The same treatment got me up and running much, much faster, if I wouldn't have used it. Needless to say, I can really recommend the products, but don't forget to warm-up first, then stretch. Stretch and strength building exercises can be found on the internet.

I am happy to report that I'm completely satisfied with the Mendmeshop home ultrasound unit. I receive the same pain relief from this unit which cost about 10 times less than the professional units. In addition to this, the customer service at Mendmeshop is outstanding. I expressed concern about shipping times to the salesperson and a manager called me back a few minutes later and offered several solutions...at no cost to me!

In summary, I highly recommend the Mendmeshop home ultrasound unit. I predict a day when Physical Therapists will lease out these units to their patients for home use, in order to supplement the ultrasound treatments performed in the clinic.

I use the ultrasound machine for my hip bursitis. I used it every day for 2 weeks and could really tell a difference. Now I use it every few days. I have very little pain now and can walk a lot longer each day. I decided to try the ultrasound machine because the doctor I went to had used one on my hip in his office. I love the fragrance of the lavender gel and can feel it working after I am done with the machine. Give it a try. It is easy to use and the lavender gel is great!!!

I believe this is a well made product that operates as described. It's easy to use, very quiet and discreet, and the gel is soothing and cooling. But I think my tennis elbow was beyond the help of this device. For ten years I've had mild come-and-go tendonitis from keyboarding and mousing. When I took up fly fishing, and had a lesson with a 9-wt rod, it became debilitating. I tried all of the conventional home remedies, with no improvement. Wearing a forearm brace didn't help as it had in the past. After four months of agony, I gave this a try. I followed the protocol exactly. Unfortunately I had no improvement. After six months, I got a cortisone shot and finally got some relief. Now I'm extremely careful about aggravating it. If it flares up again, I may try the Astym or Graston therapy. But sonic therapy did not work for me. You may have better luck.

I've had arthritis for close to 40 years & was first introduced to ultrasound healing by my first podiatrist. Through the years the pain has been managable but when my husband died two months ago the emotional strain sent my arthritis attack pain level sky high. In desperation I searched my favorite medical sights where I found a recommendation for this ultrasound tool. Within days I was using it 3 times a day. It took almost 3 weeks of treatment to eliminate my plantar fasctitis pain. During that time my thumb was attack causing my entire hand to be useless due to a high pain level. Three treatments within a 24-hour period eliminated that pain as well. Things come in 3's & my 3rd attact was an ankle. This pain put me on cruches and the treatment lasted 5 days. On the 7th day I was absolutely pain free and shopped for 2 1/2 hours. This ultrasound tool is the closest thing to being a mircacle worker. Additionally I got the freezer wrap and used it to bring down the swelling. I found its design to be very flexable for both my feet and hand. I was so grateful the treatment guide covers so many body parts. Also I traveled out of state with the ultrasound tool and found it convenient to use & its small size was easy to pack. In July, after several months of treating my very painful adhesive capsulitis with cortisone injection, physical therapy, oral steroids, and prescription pain meds, my orthopedist recommended surgery on my shoulder. I really didn't want to go through that and decided to try to get past it on my own. After some online research, I purchased this ultrasound device and began to use it prior to stretching exercises at home. Unlike the physical therapists, I stayed within my comfort range on those exercises. Before long, the pain diminished to the point that I could add strengthening exercises too. My ROM is improving week by week. I was able to stop Ultram and will probably not renew my Celebrex prescription. What part did the ultrasound unit play? If I try to start stretching without using it, it takes a lot longer to get the range of the previous day and there is much more discomfort involved. It probably made the difference in my home exercise program being able to solve my problem.

I bought this product because I was familiar with the benefits of ultrasound from previous physical therapy sessions. My deductible on my insurance is much too high now to get the "professional" treatment available from a physical therapist, so I purchased this product to use at home. I have been very pleased with all aspects of my purchase.

First of all, the unit is sleek, light, well-made and durable. And the medicated lavender infusion gel is far better than any other plain conductive gel. There are easy-to-read instructions and customer service is just a phone call away. I had a question about treating more than one body area at a sitting and whether this would adversely affect the unit. I got to speak to a friendly and knowledgeable "real person" right away (which is not common these days with frustrating recordings that offer no service).

I considered this purchase as a long-term investment in my health, and that it was a bargain if it performed as stated. I have not been disappointed. I have fibromyalgia and myofascial pain, and a couple of old injuries from bumping around in life. Ultrasound increases blood flow and stimulates healing. This unit is well worth the money and does the job.

While putting my carry-on in the overhead locker on the plane, I felt a huge pain in my shoulder; felt like I had ripped my arm off! One week later, still on pain medication, this little gem arrived and I started using it the recommended three times daily. By the end of one week, I was off pain meds, back to work and range of motion was up to 90%. Now, three weeks later, there's almost no pain, range of motion is 99%, and I'm one happy guy!
This company provides great customer service, speedy shipping and even gave me a follow up call to make sure I was happy with the unit and if I had any questions. Great product!
