An Overlooked GEM, December 11, 2009

The music might not be of the hightest caliber like the violin sonatas by Brahms and Beethoven,and it may sound as background music at first hearing (which is not bad at all), but with little attention you'll start to heart that "gloomy/sorrowful" Mendelssohnian touch in these violin/piano works. Lots of references to his string quartets and piano trios can be found here too. Pure Mendelssohn; and highly recommended for the violin/piano lovers and Mendelssohn's fans. Sound quality and price are great.
