The book makes very enjoyable reading because of the way Todd intertwines the life and the music that came out of it.

I was very disappointed with this book. This is more for composers. I really was interested in his life story as well as his music.Published 12 months ago by Luise Van DYNE
Very detailed analysis of Mendelssohn's work with reference to other composer's music. Much more than a straight forward biography. Read morePublished 14 months ago by Richard J. Bates
