It does its job but build quality can be improved. Great, simple, cheap.

When I bought this item I was only worried about one thing. "Will my camera see the edges of this lens hood when I record in 16x9 HD?" No it does not, and I have a UV filter between the camera and the lens hood. That actually may help, I don't know.
It does it's job and the footage looks great. I'm not sure it's because of the lens hood, the camera recording mode that I just discovered, or the UV filter, but the hood ain't coming off of my camera. I read someone saying the cap was a stupid addition that he'd never use (may have been a similar product). Well I'll be using mine. It helps protect the lens filter. The build quality is super cheap. It looks, feels, and is plastic. There's no doubt about it, but for the price I'm very satisfied and won't be upgrading. |
