Who Needs To Know About Menopause? Women who have gone through it, women who will go through it, and women who are going through it now! Menopause isn't a disease. It's just a strange time of life most women have to go through. THE MENOPAUSE SURVIVAL GUIDE will help you survive this weird stage of life. Donna Rogers became the author of THE MENOPAUSE SURVIVAL GUIDE out of necessity. When she was unable to find easy-to-understand information about menopause, she began to do her own research....in printed media, on the internet, and by talking with hundreds of other Change of Lifers. This twelve years of research culminated in the writing of THE MENOPAUSE SURVIVAL GUIDE, a comprehensive discussion of medical issues written in real-woman language. Women feel comfortable reading this book. Because it's written by a REAL woman who has actually experienced menopause. And because her writing style makes the reader feel like the author is talking with you, one-on-one. Donna Rogers has dealt with nearly every topic of interest to menopausal women, including perimenopause, post-menopause, hormones, changes in menstrual cycles, breast/uterine cancer, heart disease/stroke, mood changes, osteoporosis, memory loss, hot flashes, sex, skin changes, diet/exercise, premature or induced menopause, and the pros and cons of hormone replacement therapy and herbal remedies. From birth through menopause, the author explains the Estrogen Effect in user-friendly terms. And she offers common sense approaches to dealing with menopause. The information is factual without being depressing. Donna Rogers also considered the families of Change of Lifers and wrote special chapters for them: "Surviving the Change of Wife" (for husbands), "Meno Moms" (for kids), and "Male Menopause" (yes, it really exists!) You will learn from, and recommend, THE MENOPAUSE SURVIVAL GUIDE!
From the Author
Hello! I'm Donna Rogers, the author of THE MENOPAUSE SURVIVAL GUIDE. Like most women, when I first began the menopausal process, I had little idea what was actually going on in my body, so I decided it was time to learn more about menopause. I read everything I could and talked to hundreds of other Change of Lifers. What I discovered is that there is a lot of confusing information out there. About HRT, herbals, hysterectomy, and so much more. I was encouraged to share the results of my twelve years of research and to put it in real-woman language, not confusing medical lingo. I also included some real-life experiences from women who have been there. (Who knows about menopause better than a menopausal woman?!) And there are even chapters for husbands and children of menopausal women. The "Table of Contents" link will show you the subjects discussed in THE MENOPAUSE SURVIVAL GUIDE. I wanted to make this a concise, one-stop book about menopause: not a replacement for regular medical advice from your physician, but a very useful resource guide. If even one woman is helped by reading my book, then I will consider it a success. Thanks for your interest in THE MENOPAUSE SURVIVAL GUIDE. Blessings! Donna
