I ordered these for my husband, when we decided that we wanted to try to have a baby in the near future. I'd ordered the Rainbow Light prenatal vitamins for myself, and when I saw that they had a multivitamin for men that promotes a healthy reproductive system...I thought that it was worth a try! Especially since we'd been looking for a good one-a-day multivitamin, regardless of our conception plans. So, it took a little while for them to arrive in the mail, & even though they were listed as being in stock, it took a couple of days before they mailed them out to us...

However, with that aside...it was worth the wait! The price is great, for the quality. They're a little more expensive than some other brands, but the saying is true...you get what you pay for! These vitamins are all natural, and they are made from food/plants rather than from synthetics...which is great! They have the d-alpha instead of the dl-alpha...which is really hard to find in a muti-vitamin these days, (and what that means is that it contains the natural form of vitamin E, and not the synthetic form that most multivitamins have).

It's also low in iron, which is IMPORTANT for men, especially since iron can cause a whole slew of health problems for men. It doesn't contain any preservatives or dyes, or other unnecessary ingredients, and yet it contains a lot of the essential ingredients! My Husband has no problem taking them each day, and he hasn't had any side effects what-so-ever. He said that he would highly recommend them...and we both highly recommend the Rainbow Light brand, on a whole! We will continue to buy this brand, again and again and again. :)

A little over a year ago I was diagnosed with Celiac disease and so I have some nutritional deficiencies. So I have looked into several multivitamins and have learned what favorable forms of nutrients to look for in a multivitamin. As mentioned in other reviews this vitamin has the desirable, natural forms of vitamins and nutrients. I have had a lot of energy during the day since I started taking it over a month ago. It compares favorably with other more expensive vitamins. But I was concerned about the vitamin being in tablet form rather than capsule, thinking it may not dissolve well. Being an Organic Chemistry professor, I have access to a variety of individuals with other science based backgrounds. In our Microbiology department, they have an instrument called a stomacher, which mimics the activity of a human stomach. I placed two of the Rainbow light multivitamins, along with a couple other supplements in a bag containing plain distilled water and a little enzyme (overall pH approximately 6). This bag was placed in the stomacher for about 5 minutes. When it came out the solution was pretty much homogeneous (uniform solution) throughout and a yellow / green color. I think other reviewers only considered the pH of the stomach (as I originally thought), but there is a lot of agitation that occurs within to break up food and whatever else is swallowed. So the take home story is it looks like I can stop chewing it up before swallowing it. It is convenient to take one tablet a day but not optimal. Any vitamin has half lifes where the effectiveness diminishes throughout the day. It would be better to take a series of vitamins and minerals throughout the day.

My husband, who was never great at taking his vitamins, says these are the best ever, he actually feels better and with more energy. I take the Women's version and I love them as well. They are all natural and have extra B vitamins as well as others. FYI, they are large pills, they don't taste the best and just a word of caution, never take them on an empty stomach, it could make you nauseous.

It's getting harder to find a multi with d-alpha instead of dl-alpha.

This one has d-alpha, not the synthetic E.

I have tried several multivitamins over the last few years and most have made my stomach upset, even with food. On reading some of the reviews, this vitamin sounded like a hit. It had all I needed and was supposed to be easy on the stomach. It is. I can take it every day, even without eating breakfast at times, and it does not upset my stomach.

Would recommend to all my friends.

I had been taking a Centrum multivitamin for what seems like forever. I never really knew if it was working or not. I can honestly say I feel a lot better taking this vitamin.

This vitamin looks really great on paper, but when I got it home, it didn't seem to stack up. I tried the dissolve test mentioned in another review. After a full hour in vinegar at ~100 deg F, the pill was not fully dissolved. It seems like I'll need to take 2 a day to get the full benefit of this pill. I have emailed Rainbow Light about it. I will update my review if they do anything to remedy the dissolving problems.

I have tried several different brands of popular multivitamins like Centrum and One-A-Day, but they all gave me a painful stomach ache shortly after taking the pill. It didn't matter if I took the pill with food or not, the stomach aches would always come and they would last for about 20 minutes. I did a Google search on this and there were other people who had the same issue. Some say it is probably because of the iron found in popular multivitamins.

I wanted to give Rainbow Light a try since they are iron-free and are designed for sensitive stomachs. I am pleased to say that they did not give me any kind of stomach problems what-so-ever. I wish they sold this brand in more stores because I will be buying this again. And just to refute some of the disappointed reviewers, I don't think a multivitamin is supposed to instantly make you feel better or have more energy. I take them as a supplement to a healthy diet to ensure that my body is getting the vitamins it needs, just in case there are deficiencies in my diet. It's not a magic cure-all pill, and it was never designed or advertised to be that.

Anyway if you have a sensitive stomach like me, give this brand a try.

I have taken several different brands of Multi's over the years, but something was just not right with the brands. So it was like my intentions were good, but I didn't like the side effects of other Multi's, i.e. urinating all the time, overly stimulating (too many B Vitamins), or just wouldn't work period. I then took a small chance on this product from other reviewers' word. Much to my surprise, this vitamin is gentle on the stomach, includes compounds that your body absorbs much better than other brands, and I just feel great!
