Product Description

The Quiksilver Cypher PS + Heated Wetsuit Vest is an awesome new product designed to warm your core body temperature. This innovative vest is made of lightweight 8oz polypropylene (we call it poly fleece on our site) which makes it thin, and easy to wear under any wetsuit. The PS uses FAR infra-red heating technology to deliver hours of battery powered heat to your vital organs. The unit vibrates to confirm different settings, so it is easy to control under your suit. Kit comes with everything you need: Vest, Rechargeable Battery, Home Charger, Car Charger, and Instructions.

Bought the Cypher heated vest in Oct of 2010. By Dec, it stopped working. I contacted Quiksilver, and true to their one year warranty, they sent me another. I used that one, but stopped when the water warmed up. This winter I started to use it again, worked for awhile, but again it stopped working. I contacted Quiksilver again, but since it was over a year no one replied. I wasn't about to lay out another $200 bucks for a new one, when 2 failed. I decided to take it apart, and immediately found the problem. Both wires to the heating element were broken off. I was really surprised at how thin the 2 wires were. The designer obviously did not take into consideration the wear and tear the vest would take in normal use. (I did not abuse it at all, in fact, I was very careful handling it.) This is a great idea, but cheap manufacturing techniques makes it not ready for prime time. Save your money, until a new model, or other manufacturer comes out with something better

Junk! Don't waste your money!! Battery doesn't last and vest stitching unravels. Quiksilver knows about these issues, but chooses to ignore their numerous consumer complaints. Read the reviews for yourself. Tried several times to contact Quiksilver Customer Service, but no response!!! Been a customer of Quiksilver since the 70's. Amazing how they have changed over the years towards their customers.

Irritated because quicksilver didn't honor their return policy and referred me to the retailer who similarly didn't honor it. And it wasn't his fault, its the manufacturer who created junk.

Even when plugged in, it shows fully charged but somehow the charge doesn't get to the suit. Something to do with regulation of the voltage I'm sure. Cheap Chinese crapola and a cheap company that doesn't honor it's obligations.

Worked for three months. The charger quit working, the twist cap easily broke off.. Would be nice if they sold the battery and chargers as an extra purchasable item
