4.0 out of 5 stars great no nonsense dive watch, April 26, 2008
I bought this watch because I was looking for a good quality inexpensive dive watch that you can take on vacation and not be sporting a Rolex or Tag Heuer that could be lost or stolen. This watch fit the bill perfectly, I was looking at the Seiko Orange Monster first, but realized that this Pulsar is made by Seiko and is of the same quality. It has the same metal band, Hardlex curved crystal and Lumibrite indices as Seiko, but for less money. It also is solar, so you get the precision of quartz, without having to change the battery, thus keeping the water resistance. If you put the watch under good light and charge it for several hours upon first receiving the watch you won't have any problems when wearing it under long sleaves, mine works like a normal quartz watch and I leave it facing the windows when not in use to charge the battery. The watch is solidly built (thick and fairly heavy), about 43mm, attractive face with a wave pattern, the bezel rotates easlily without too much play, it has a diver's extension on the band. Be careful when adjusting the band due to the small metal barrels used to the lock in the pin, these are very easy to loose and requires a little patience (my only complaint) - see the various reviews under the Seiko Orange Monster, one of them gives instructions on adjusting this band.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top Quality Watch At Affordable Price, June 21, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Mens Tech Gear Diver Watch-- (Watch)
Very Nicely Crafted Watch.

May Feel A Bit Heavy Initially, But I Love The Solid Feel.

My Slight Complain Is Getting The Battery To Charge Properly When Its First Out Of The Box. It Took Too Long To Charge, I Thought The Watch Was Faulty.

But I Turned Out That The Reason Was My Light Source Was Not Strong Enough.

In The End Found A Easy Way To Charge The Watch Using My Handpowered LED Touch Light.

Gave It A Full 3 Hour Shine, Now The Watch Works Like A Brilliant Tag Heuer, Maybe Even Better.............
