This assortment of miniworkouts is designed for men and led by Olympic-gold-medal gymnast Mitch Gaylord, assisted by four male trainers. Many men go to the gym and just do strength exercises without including stretching, putting themselves at greater risk for injury, so Gaylord first leads a segment of three simple stretches (not exactly a thorough stretch routine), followed by recommendations for warming up with cardiovascular activity. Next Gaylord teaches strength-training exercises that use body weight instead of free weights--dips and three levels of pushups--and several that use free weights. Next Billy Long demonstrates a couple of lower-body stretches, and Kurt Merrill performs beginning-level, lower-body strength-training exercises, some with and some without weights. Gaylord demonstrates two abdominal exercises. Finally sports nutritionist Lloyd Collins gives a few hints about keeping dietary changes simple. The workout programs in this video are fairly brief, despite the assortment of trainers. However, the chiseled male physiques may motivate you to stick with it, and motivation is so often the key.
