I can't believe my eyes! How could MENSA sponsor another Abbie Salny calendar? This calendar is full of errors, as it is every year. The so called puzzles fall far short of anything clever or original and it remains a huge mystery to my friends and me how something so poorly thought out could ever be published. I received this calendar as a gift and I am so disappointed that a publishing house as reputable as Workman Publishing could allow such a travesty, not to mention the high I.Q.society, MENSA!

I mistakenly thought that Mensa would have come up with something a lot more interesting and creative than a calendar which simply recyles the same set of (not very enticing) puzzles over and over and over again. It's only March and I am already thinking about chucking this in the trash.

It's actually my own fault for not paying close enough attention. But I bought this calendar in mid-January 2009 and I *assumed* that it would be a 2009 calendar...I guess I thought a calendar store wouldn't still be selling year old calendars. But it was actually 2008 and exactly the same as the one I had just finished a few weeks earlier. So my fault...but buyer beware!

So far this is not very fun. The puzzles are not clever. The math ones are like overdone algebra problems. Lots of contrived word problems. Not terribly challenging, either.

We get this Mensa puzzle every year and enjoy the new challenge each day. The puzzles differ from word challenges to mathematical problems. Don't fall behind because it takes time to catch up.

We received the 2008 calendar for Christmas and used it throughout the year. The daily challenge was fun for the whole family.

Excellent way to face each day. Puzzles could be a little more challenging though.

I start every day with this calendar's puzzles. Lots of them are common sense and many are real "thinkers". Not just for Mensans... ~ Natasha (a lifetime Mensa member)

I like a challenge first thing in the morning other than getting out of bed.
This years daily MENSA Calendar is the same as other years - a good thing to get you going for the day; unless of course you are struggling to get the answer, then it stares you in the face all day until you get it!
I enjoy it!
