Highly recommended,

Diary of Dreams is a project featuring Adrian Hates (what a name!), founder and owner of German goth/industrial label Accession Records. This album falls somewhere between goth and industrial, with low to midtempo beats, perfect production, and a quietly dark atmosphere. Don't expect any club stompers; this is more for goths in lowriders. In fact, the dramatic pianos and symphonic synths bring to mind hip hop, but with less crunk and more German lyrics. Ubercool creepy artwork completes this highly recommended package.

Haunting and Brilliant,
This review is from: Menschfeind (Audio CD)
An amazing album from an amazing group.
Encompassing a range of emotions so vividly into a dark and haunting backdrop, Menschfeind delivers astounding variances of synthesised percussion and a satsifyingly deep drum sequencing effort. Lyrics are relatively minimalistic compared to other bands of the like, never overbearing at any point, in fact you'll find yourself wishing to hear his voice a bit more in the tracks, that being said his voice is on par perfectly with the hauntingly atmospheric piano work. Borderlining through Gothic to Industrial to downtempo EBM, this album is a must for anoyone who appreciates perfectly executed electronic music. As a producer myself, I am in awe of the sheer amount of work and talent that has gone into this album and am incilned to collect every other Diary Of Dreams album after hearing this one.

Pure Emotional Genius,

Menschfeind is a heavy and gripping album. You hear the first song, the title track, and it grabs hold of you and you don't want to be let go. The lyrics are dark, but the vocals are masterfully done, and not oppressively heavy or hard. Just deep and dark and beautiful. The album doesn't go into excess with its dark themes, but they are powerful and subtle enough to softly caress the part of you that hates. THIS is musical genius.
