I LOVE this product.
As a person with sensitive skin, it is so nice to find a product that is as comfortable and easy to use as this gladrags kit. I was reluctant at first to try this alternative to disposable sanitary protection---if, for no other reason than it was different than what I was accustomed to. After my first day of using the product, I could tell a big difference in my comfort level. None of the chaffing usually associated with disposables was present in this soft, organic cotton pad. Even though I do laundry only once a week, it was simple to rinse the pads and then place them in my regular laundry. They came out clean and fresh, and ready to use. Of course, there is some staining. Therefore I recommend getting the pads with the unusual printed fabrics as the staining with be significantly less noticeable. Reportedly, from the website of the parent company, the pads will last for up to 5 years with good care. For me, that ends up being quite a savings. Since I am working hard to pay down my student loan debt, that type of savings is very useful. Additionally, there is a positive environmental impact for using this products as opposed to traditional sanitary protection. Suprisingly, disposable sanitary protection causes more problems in landfills than even dirty diapers!! It's a small step to save the planet. An easy one to make. And it is so much easier on you if you have sensitive skin, or are prone to allergies or yeast infections. I highly recommend it!

I recently took the plunge and made the switch to reusable pads. These Glad Rags work well and are very well made. I specifically like the way the wings wrap around your undies and snap in place. I also like the multiple inserts provided because they allow you to choose how thick the pad needs to be. I've been sincerely satisfied with the product itself, but even at the price they are here on Amazon, I still believe they are more expensive than they should be (hence, three stars instead of five).
When I looked at the pads I recieved, even as well made as they are, I quickly realized it wouldn't be hard to make them and felt a little ripped off at the price I'd paid. I later found several websites that offer patterns and ideas for sewing your own at a fraction of the cost. So if you are looking to purchase these and you have even the most beginner's skill in sewing, do a little online research and ask yourself if it might be better to make them yourself. You could spend $100 or more to purchase enough of these pads to last a single period versus $10-$25 in materials to make them.

Lasts for years!,

I bought these pads 8+ years ago and they are still in great condition. When I first tried them, I did not like rinsing the pads out in the sink before placing them in the hamper, so I switched back to the disposable pads. After 1 day of wearing a disposable pad again, I realized how much more comfortable the soft cotton pads were and I decided it was worth the inconvenience of rinsing.
They are super-absorbent (you can go all day without having to change your pad) and last for years! Great combination of eco-friendly, cost-savings and comfort!

I'm so glad I only bought a three pack. I purchased these products from this brand as well as two others. These shrunk in the dryer quit a bit and I had trouble getting them to lay flat and go back to their originial shape after washing and drying. I also purchased Fuzibunz brand- and they held up much better in the wash and for wear! But for the price, none of the brands are really worth it. If you sew, google for a pattern. I made an entire month's worth with 22 dollars worth of material and supplies. I love the ones I made so much better than the three brands I bought.

lifesavers,

I use these as backup for my diva cup esp. at work where I unload trucks so bathroom breaks aren't on my schedule. These are so much better than using the disposables. That plastic in the disposables is so uncomfortable while these are like flannel sheets. They are easy to take care of. I just toss mine in the wash with loads of towels and they come out just fine. They send you a random color and pattern but I really didn't care what they had on them. Buy more if you are using them alone instead of backup though.

I finally made the jump from disposable to cloth and decided to buy two different kind of napkins. I am SOOO glad I did! I bought these GladRags, and the FuzziBunz brand as well. These are made from a felt and the edges are "rough finish" with a surge, not a seam. These are pretty small (I bought the Day Pads) and if I give them another shot, I will buy the bigger ones for sure.
The instructions on the box say to machine wash and dry... I think this may have caused them to shrink, and I KNOW it caused them to bunch! I will be ironing them soon (sometime before the next time I have to use them) and I hope that helps things. Bottom line, I really like the FuzziBunz alot better. I am going to try to make the most of these, but they are not my favorite. And if I do figure out how to make these work, they would not be hard to make myself. I do not sew, but I can figure out a sewing machine every once in a while... these would NOT be hard to make. There are patterns on the internet for free if you are serious about saving the money.

I bought these because I am about 6 months pregnant and am starting to "leak" when I sneeze, cough, laugh...you get the idea :) I was using regular, disposable pantie liners but felt really bad about constantly throwing them in the garbage. Then a friend recommended Gladrags for postpartum because I plan to use cloth diapers as well. I figured why not start now??!! I am SO PLEASED with this product!!! It is soft, stays pretty much where you put it, is super comfy to wear (even on a spin bike!!) and the best part is that you just toss it in with your regular laundry!! I just got one box as a "trial" but I will be getting the full set of the liners, regular pads and overnight pads for after my baby comes! I am also really happy to support a small US company that maintains it's green values :)

there are much better cloth pads out there.,
This review is from: Menstrual Color Cotton Pads - 3 - Pack (Health and Beauty)
I love using cloth pads. They don't chafe or fall apart like disposable ones, even if you wear the same one all day. That said, I'm not a fan of glad rags. The idea of having inserts is a good one, but they don't work that well for me. They seem to ball up, and often when I pull up my underwear they slide so that the absorbent part is outside of my underwear. That's not helpful! And they kind of scrunch up and feel uncomfortable while I'm wearing them. I'd recommend going on etsy or looking for other brands on here that have a better design (I prefer ones that are one piece and are shaped like disposable pads).
