This course, of the Church of Light lessons, helps the student attain a better relationship with themselves and understand the Astrological and Environmental factors causing stress, anxiety and other negative emotions. Behavior Patterns are explained, in connection with Astrological influences.

This is one of the books that I can honestly say has `changed my life.' The premise of this lesson is that the astrological chart is a map of the individual's character. The planetary energies operate as organs or `thought cells' within the subconscious organism of the individual. These thought cells combine into `compounds' which work from an inner-plane dimension to impact our thinking and attract what we term as fortunate or unfortunate events. In this the ninth course of the Brotherhood of Light Lessons, C. C. Zain clearly outlines the inner nature of poverty, failure and disease, how to identify the thought cause of these conditions and how to apply mental antidotes to bring about healing and transformation. The author, like many authors of the new thought movement prescribes the use of auto-suggestion and affirmation to bring about change. The main difference between Zain's and other author's works is that rather than applying generic affirmations he shows the reader (through the tool of astrological and alchemical symbolism) just exactly how diagnose and apply conversion or antidotes to successfully alter his or her mental patterns. This book along with its companion course III Spiritual Alchemy provide a brilliant system for self-realization and spiritual transformation. Granted, trying to change one's `character' or habitual modes of thinking, feeling and acting is the hardest work in the world, however it is the most rewarding. By changing our character we can change our destiny.
