This book is a very entertaining read and, as one reviewer already noted, it's hard to put down. You'll find yourself wanting to bring the book to bed with you so you can read "just one more story." Next you'll realize that it's the wee hours of the morning and one story has stretched into two or three or more. Beware bringing this book to bed with you if your significant other, roommate, sibling, etc. is a light sleeper because you'll find yourself breaking out in laughter much of the time. In fact, you might want to buy them a copy too so that they can stay up and read at the same time.

Reading this book has made us grateful that we're not weirdness magnets like Joe. But we're also grateful that Joe has chosen to share his odd experiences with the world and can do so in such a vivid and wonderful manner. Buy the book, you won't be disappointed.

Whether it's because of the leaky superglue tube or the excessively high quality of this book, I just can't seem to put it down. This book will have you in stitches, provided you know how to read that is. From the first round to the last, you get the awesomest, most entertaining stories around. Told masterfully, you'll feel like the author is an old friend and you're catching up on the crazy goings-on in his life since you've been gone, or since you've never even met yet. The laughs are balanced thoughtfully with a couple stories that show the author becoming an adult. A wierdness magnet for sure, but an adult as well. Read this book, you won't ever regret it, unless someone steals it and you have to order another copy, that is.

For anyone who likes short stories, or even just likes a fun read, Joe the Peacock's book, Mentally Incontinent, is definitely worth reading. It's a romp through the life of a weirdness magnet; you'll share Joe's pain and his triumphs, and you'll find yourself laughing right along with everyone else in the stories because Joe has this amazing talent to make everything feel real. I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants or needs a good laugh, or who wants to share some laughs.

These stories are fantastic! They're a perfect escape from the drab dullness of work, and bring back memories of your own hilarious situations or stories. You can really identify with these, and they make for great discussions with friends. :) I've shown this book to my friends, and they've all cracked up laughing before even making it a few pages. Fantastic writing!

I've never reviewed anything here before (although I've read and bought many); this book is worth it. Joe's writing style sucked me in and the amount he's willing to share makes me look forward to every new story. In lots of ways we couldn't be more different, but I feel I can relate to something in every story. Highly recommended for any humans who can read.

This book, is by far, the best thing I have read in a long while. The whole concept is so interesting... participants voting on chapters in a book, plus the fact that Joe is such an amazing writer... his writing makes you feel as though you were watching the story happen in real-time! If you ever need a pick-me-up book, or are in the mood to laugh your pants off, pick up this book. Not only is this book absolutely hilarious, it is intensely personal. Definately a book worth obsessing over!

One thing I can honestly say about this book is that the stories really stick with you. I find myself occasionally thinking back to the various stories throughout the day/week, chuckling at the humor in them all. The author has had some truly hilarious experiences in life and it's a great thing that he decided to share them with us all.

While I had read most of these stories on his website, I still find myself laughing all over again this time around. But, the best part of this book is the author. If you register at his site (which is free and safe), you can actually talk with him. Have a question about the book? Ask. Lets see you try that with Stephen King!

If you have a sense of humor, you will definately find this to be one of the most amusing books you have read.

Joe the Peacock has a knack to story-telling. His wit and sarcasm is funny, engaging, unmatched, and best of all...believable. A lot of people will rave about how "funny" the stories are, but personally I like how "real" he makes things. The stories will sneak up on you and draw you in like a fading sunset. Before you know it, you'll be part of his reality and find a little of yourself in every humorous situation. If Joe doesn't have his own satellite radio show in 2006, then he needs a new agent!

This book is for anyone who loves to have a good laugh. Not only is the premise really original (a book compiled by readers), but the stories are extremely hilarious, and yet personal too. I bet you'll find yourself reading it in one shot - cover to cover - it's that good!
