These are interesting candies. They have a nice mouth feel and the texture is great to chew and the flavors are sweet and fruity without being overwhelming. The danger is eating the whole pack at a single sitting. I can see why Mentos are as popular as they are. The center is softer than the shell, but the shell isn't very hard. You can suck on the candy for a while and then chew it or just chew it right away. Either way, quite enjoyable.

This is the first time I have picked up this candy. They are about the size of an American nickel. In fact, if you have one of those old heavy winter coats, with thick, round, leather buttons, then you know the exact shape and size of each piece of Mentos candy.

They are fat things that do not melt in your mouth. If you are wanting to suck on these for flavor, you are going to be disappointed. There is very little taste until you begin chewing. Therefore, each piece of Mentos candy lasts only a 30 or 40 seconds.

A serious word of warning here: these are the perfect size to get stuck/lodged in a child's throat. Not something I would recommend for Halloween.

If you want something to suck on with lots of flavor, purchase NERDS. If you want chewy with blasts of taste/flavor, get SKITTLES. But if you just a tame chewy treat, Mentos is for you!
