This book features cat-related tales and folklore from around the world. The illustrator, Hala Wittwer, depicts scenes from the stories and representations of the folklore with incredible skill. Meow is the first full-sized book she's illustrated, and one can hope for many more. I am not much of a cat person, but even I was completely charmed by the breathtaking illustrations, full of loveable characters and intricate detail.
I haven't gotten a chance to read through much of the book yet. The illustrations were quite enough to snare me.
I've ordered this at my local bookstore, and cannot wait to get it!

"this book is great for cat lovers but no for dog lovers i love dogs and cats but i love all the pets of the world so here are the contents of this book the mouse and the caT AND CAT NURSERY RHYMES AND THE KING OF THE CATS AND THE CAT AND THE FOX AND RAMBE AND AMBE And what people say about cats and the pious cat and why was the tiger mad at the cat and the cat and the hen and the cat and the rat and why the cat falls on her feet and the last page is selected reading fo kids."

Parental comment. Seeing children's books through children's eyes. This does present as a wonderful book for those children who like cats.
