1.0 out of 5 stars A Mimeographed List of Hessians in the Revolutionary War, August 16, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Mercenary Troops from Anhalt-Zerbst Germany During the American Revolution (German-American genealogical research monograph) (Paperback)
Buyer beware. Be very careful before buying this "book." The chances are high that you will be disappointed. This is a highly specialized manuscript. It is a list of Hessian soldiers who fought in the Revolution with very little additional text and hardly any commentary at all them. It is just a list of names of soldiers and where they came from -- not much more than that. If that is what you are after, it could be great; if you want more, you are in for a big disappointment with this purchase. Considering its high price and that is a stapled manuscript (truly backed in paper), it could turn out to be a big disappointment to anyone without very specialized needs.
