not what it appears to be,

Although it doesn't say 100% whey, I still think its deceiving that it contains plain old milk (non-fat dry). For those of us who don't tolerate casein you'll have to discover that for yourself or just read my review. It has a nice creamy flavor. I tried some out of curiosity but will be looking for something that does not contain casein.

For me the taste of this just did not meet expectations. I'm a huge fan & reader of Dr. Mercola's and was excited to get his protein here on Amazon. Just got it in today and tasted a sample dry. Tasted good but oddly familiar. Turns out it reminded me of powdered milk I had as a teen and in the military - just as one reviewer posted above.
I mixed in a shaker with cold water and could not drink it. The first swig had unmixed crystals, which when crushed/dissolved in my mouth left a very bland taste - similar to unflavored BCAA powders. One more swig after adding another scoop to be sure and I definitely will not drink this. If mixed with milk it might taste very good, but I'm avoiding lactose where possible, so that's out. Bottom line - I'm sticking with the WHEY Isolates or other brands that mix very well with water or other drinks and taste good (ON Hydro Whey Vanilla is the best I've found so far). Still a fan of the doc, but not of this product.

Love the Chocolate,

I received the chocolate flavor and to me it tastes just like chocolate milk. I put the powder and milk in a blender and it's smooth and creamy and not too thick. I have never had a good protein shake in a shaker cup so I use my blender.
It is only 11 servings but I've researched and looked for other less expensive options and anything comparable is just as expensive. It's whey from grass-fed cows, non-GMO, naturally sweetened, a whey concentrate not a protein isolate and no soy. It has maltodextrin which is derived from corn but that's a pretty common and natural ingredient. I've tried to find anywhere on Dr. Mercola's website where he might say that powdered milk is bad as another reviewer suggested. The only thing I can find is that pasteurized milk is bad and according to his product description, this whey and milk is raw, un-pasteurized. I've tried a lot of protein powders and this one is by far the best tasting.
