This shop manual is very extensive in most of its information and instructions. The illustrations and photographs however leave a lot to be desired. The illustrations or drawings are difficult to follow because all lines are drawn the same and are all in black and white. The photographs all in black and white are difficult to use. Some are fuzzy or too small to be able to see small parts and details. The manual obviously has not been updated recently. In your search for the best shop manual I would recommend buying the one with the most recent updated edition. I purchased a Clymer manual based on reputation and price. It wasn't my best purchase.

Excellent book. I had everything to learn about this motor and the book was a great tool. I was able to figure out several mechanical and electrical problems because of the book.

As a cruising boater I purchased this so that I can do simple things myself and am better informed to tell a mechanic what I think is wrong or to understand what a mech is telling me....
