Tis book has a good base however I strongly recomend that the authors need to actually read this book over, and correct the multitude of mistakes that have been made in this publication.

I have found this manual very helpful, I am just about finished restoring a Mark Twain 165 it is a 1986 model with 140HP engine and a Alpha I mercruser stern drive. This manual has saved me many hours.

Does the job but readers will want to be aware that this manual is about the engine only - 90% of the mechanics and electrics.

Don't even think about taking your engine or outdrive apart before checking the appropriate chapter in this book. Very clear instructions complete with pictures for most DIY boat owners. I've used several other repair manuals by this publisher for other I/O's and outboard motors and never been disappointed.

It appears everything is there, but it is challenging to find it, the index is very weak. Drawings are good, but no pictures.

This manual helped me fix my mercruiser. The manual needs to be updated on change in gimble bearings. I did get it figured out.

I purchased this manual because I had an older model mercruiser and had a manual like this one for it and had found it quite helpful.

I received this manual with in just a couple of days after ordering it.

Well written with fine hand-drawn & photo graphics. Too many models covered in the book so that my section was only ten percent of this big volume, but the information was badly needed and most helpful....

This book, no manual is the best for your mercruiser, it has everything spec's, wiring diagrams, procedures, troubleshooting.
If you do your own work on your boat, you need this book.

Excellent purchase, cheaper than Ebay and I recieved a new book!
