This was the first time trying seloc manuals,I have used clymers in the past and the selocs are organized much better and give a lot better info. From now on its strictly seloc manuals.

I own a 40HP 4 Stroke Yamaha engine and even though I owen the Factory maintenance manual This book goes into much more detail and gives better drawings

My 2005 Mercury outboard was not charging properly. Any help from any one in the marine sport industry comes with a substantial price tag. The shop manual from the motor manufacturer would have cost over three times what I paid for this manual. This manual was very user friendly, cost one third of the manufactures version and included two other manufactures manuals.

A very comprehensive, hands-on, detailed manual for a plethora of four-stroke Yamaha and related marine engines. Highly recommend.Yamaha Outboard Series Yamaha Outboards All Eng. 1997-05

This is an excellent resource! Very comprehensive, well written and reasonably well illustrated. So far, I have not discovered any inaccuracies. As a D-I-Y this book proved to be a big money saver.

The book is good to have in lieu of a manual specific to your engine. It covers 2.5 - 225HP 4-stroke Yamaha outboards and does an O.K. job. Good for what it is. If you are looking for a book on how to take care of your engine and troubleshoot this is not the book. This seems primarily for mechanics. Still I am glad I bought it.

This book is very informative, yet is simple to use. I like the part where it gives the degree of hardness for the repair. I would highly recommend this book to all who own outboards.
