I really have not actually heard this CD. However, I saw these guys (and girls) live a little while ago and they were frickin' awesome. The entire 4 piece was very energetic and the music was a lot of fun. The female vocals were extremely rad and they all seemed really cool. Usually the majority of the bands that play in my town are metal bands, which are cool, but it was awesome to finally hear some really good punk. I'm gonna buy this as soon as possible.

Luckie Strike...strikes back! The Mercury Project is Luckie's second full length release. I have reviewed the Luckie Strike e.p. Future is Turning and loved it; what more can I say The Mercury Project blows me away! Mel Strike's vocal talents are amazing, backed by outstandingly tight leads and rhythm. The Mercury Project is sweeping of catchy melodies yet never strays away from hardcore punk rock.

The first song on this album "I'm Sick" will give you a dose of Luckie Strike's hardcore punk rock roots. The rest of the album goes back to Luckie's own unique sound that we all admire. The band also does a cover of "Sloop John B." I must admit I don't know who originally sang it but, it is a great cover none-the-less! The Mercury Project is definitely an album worth checking out, so do yourself a favor and pick it up. . .you won't regret it.

This is an incredable album that in my opinion is way ahead of it's time. They are very skilled songwriters and incredable performers. These guys could do a lot for music if their music fell onto more ears.
