Andrae's Welcome Back party!,
This review is from: Mercy (Audio CD)
From the bright "Say So" to the prayerful "God Still Loves Me", this album is full of the kind of exciting arrangements and no-foolin' lyrics that made Andrae great in the first place. The Latino feel of "We Love It Here" reminds me of the street parties of my childhood, while the tribal influence of the title track is deeply stirring and fresh. Every track has something different, something special, and yet the album is cohesive as a whole. The ONLY thing this album lacks is more of Andrae's simple, soulful vocals. But don't be mistaken: this album is all Andrae in heart and soul. He has chosen his guest artists for what they contribute to his voice as a musician and writer. Yes, Andrae, God still loves you. So do we.

I love this CD, but sorry to say I was trying to replace the one I had because it was scratched, unfortunately the person I order from sent me the case with a CD from Whitney Houston in it. I like Whitney but I wanted Andrae Crouch. I love this CD that why I gave it 5 stars.

the "comeback" album,

After 10 years of no released recordings, AC made a comeback with "Mercy". Anytime AC released a new album, I was so overwhelmed with excitement I had to make sure not to expect the same members to contribute like they used to. Instead of Bill Maxwell being the co-producer its Scott Smith, the producer of many Winans albums. Instead of Bill being the drummer, Scott does most of it digitally. No Howard, no Bili T, no James Felix, no Danniebelle, but Kristle & Tata make their presence known on vocals. Abe & Andrew bass it up still. AC always made his albums tasteful with multi-ethnic & urban flavored tracks & does so here. The last track, he speaks the sentiments of his heart & gets real with God--it pierced my heart. I never really compared AC's abilities, even vocally, to other artists because his anointing was so thick there was really no reason for comparison. Besides, what I love about gospel is that it's all about Jesus & not us. We just make the decision whether or not to be used of Him.

100% Awesome,
This review is from: Mercy (MP3 Download)
I have had all the numbers in Andrea's Mercy for quite some time now and they still sound absolutely fantastic each time I play them. Andrea knows how to craft good music and it's quite hard for me to say which of the songs is my best. Each of them has an inspiring message and is delivered through great instrumentality. I'll recommend it to anyone looking for good gospel music (Nwankama Nwankama).

Possibly the best Christian album ever, by one of the greatest composer/musicians of all times. This album is a "MUST" for all times.
