Flea and Tick Free,

This review is from: Merial Frontline Plus Flea and Tick Control for 45- to 88-Pound Dogs and Puppies, 6 Month (Misc.)
My dog is a Chow mix and very furry. Ticks are impossible to find under her two layered coat until it's too late. At first, I tried cheaper brands. They work on ticks but do nothing for fleas. Then my vet recommended Frontline. I later tried K9 Advantix since they claim to also kill mosquitos, but I didn't notice any difference with the little bloodsuckers. And the protection from K9 Advantix didn't seem to last as long so I switched back to Frontline.
Frontline works great for us. My dog is an outdoor dog and our county reportedly has more deer than people. And with deer come deer ticks. I've seen deer in my back yard and my dog's house is very near the woods for shade. And she likes to take the occasional jaunt through the woods. Still I rarely find a tick on her. And when I do, they're usually dead (or soon will be). I wish I'd known Amazon was selling Frontline for a better price sooner. I've been purchasing only 3 months worth for about $50 from another site for the last 2 years. Very frustrating since before you know it, you're out. With 6 months worth I only have to remember 2 times a year instead of 4.

The Best There Is!,

This review is from: Merial Frontline Plus Flea and Tick Control for 45- to 88-Pound Dogs and Puppies, 6 Month (Misc.)
Frontline Plus is the best way to keep fleas and ticks off your dog. It is applied once per month in about 3 minutes. It seems to have little or no side effects on the dog. It has been used for many years on dogs without problems. I checked all products and asked various vets and everyone agrees that Frontline Plus is the best way to keep ticks and fleas off your dog. The Plus even kills the flea eggs.

Once a great product, but is losing its effectiveness,
This review is from: Merial Frontline Plus Flea and Tick Control for Dogs (Misc.)
I have used Frontline every year since it first came onto the market to control ticks and fleas - I was always very happy with the product and it worked well.
Something, however, HAS CHANGED WITH THIS PRODUCT - last year it was less effective and I chalked it all up to a different house, a different neighborhood, and the addition of yet another rescued dog. This year, however, I realize that it is not me, not how I am using it, and not the new environment - it simply doesn't work like it used to. My poor 16 year old cat could not get rid of his fleas and I had to switch to Advantix, which worked well for both my cat and my dogs. I called Frontline's customer service number, and they were rude and inevitably insisted that it was wrong doing or incorrect usage on my part, which is funny given that I have used this for many years on dozens of animals with -surprise - no problem until this year. I highly recommend going a different route, even if you are a faithful Frontline customer; something is different about the product only just recently that has caused it to be less effective and it will not get rid of your problem.

Dangerous for pets, and possibly humans,
By G - Men Fan (Bethlehem, PA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Merial Frontline Plus Flea and Tick Control for Dogs (Misc.)
I've used Frontline and Frontline Plus on several dogs for years, always following the recommended doses. I've never had a problem with fleas or ticks, so I'm guessing that this product works well, but I never suspected that I may be harming my dogs with these pesticides. Recently, my 8 year old Australian Cattle Dog suffered a severe reaction several hours after applying a treatment of Frontline Plus; he went into a sort of seizure and lost control of his legs and stability and bounced off a wall for a minute or so until it passed. I just knew immediately it was a neurological effect from the Frontline Plus, even though none of my dogs had ever had any problems with this product before. I did a lot of research online and was saddened to learn that these types of topical pesticides have been causing problems in dogs and cats - and possibly humans! - for years and that the EPA is investigating the safety of these products. Fortunately my dog appears to be fine now, but obviously I will never use these products again, and I'm saddened to know that I may have unknowingly caused my dog harm. I don't expect to see this review published, but I hope that it is so that others may make more informed choices before applying these chemicals to their beloved pets. I have found that there is a holistic approach to controlling fleas and ticks with natural products that will not harm your pet.

Doesn't kill ticks or repel mosquitoes,
By
This review is from: Merial Frontline Plus Flea and Tick Control for Dogs and Puppies, 6 Doses, For Dogs 89 to 132 Pounds (Misc.)
If you live in a wooded area (particularly in the northeast US), you might want to use Advantix instead. Advantix repels mosquitoes (and Frontline doesn't), and it also does a better job than Frontline in killing ticks. My dog was on Frontline, but ticks were still crawling all over him. The switch to Advantix has helped a lot.

Didn't Work for Me,

After countless recommendations by friends, family, and vets I decided to give it a shot. It really didn't do much. I have 2 Dachshunds and a Miniature Pincher that stay inside the majority of the time. They only go outside to potty. I can't say it didn't work cause they did have "less" fleas but, it wasn't worth the money at all. Just last night I picked 10 fleas off my min pin. I live out in the country so perhaps that has something to do with it but I have read many reviews that said it works in the country as well. Perhaps I have a hybrid breed of fleas that are immune to FrontLine?

Front line Plus,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was very dissappointed when I recieved my order because unlike what I thought I had ordered a six month supply of front line for my dog, I got an opened and resealed version. Apparently there was a note saying that the product was not in the original package, but I missed that when ordering. I can't use this product because I do I know for sure what is actually in a resealed container.

Great Item it is a Must Buy.,
Do not believe the Negative review of this item. I have spoken with the person who made the negative claims before I purchaced from this seller. I learned that he is a Vet. I asked him if he had purchaced the Item from the seller and he said no he had not. So then I asked him how does he know that it is not approved by the EPA. His Awnser was that no one can be selling it that cheap. I contacted the Seller he promised me that it is 100% Authinic Front Line made by Merial. He explained that VET's hate him becaue he is is selling the same product that they can sell but he is takeing less of a profit and that the Vet's are marking theses items up to get rich. I am one who does not want to be price- gouged. Buy from Goodbyfleaz they are the best. Belive the real buyer not the liars.

FleaZapper sells expired Frontline,
This review is from: Merial Frontline Plus Flea and Tick Control for 45- to 88-Pound Dogs and Puppies, 3 Month (Misc.)
I purchased 2 of Frontline Plus Dog 45-88 Pounds,6 Months, from FleaZapper through Amazon.Com. Please note that my medications were outdated and expired. They,(FleaZapper) attempted to cover the expiration date on one box, but I was able to read through it. I was so disappointed. I gave the company 1 star because it doesn't allow me to give it no stars!!!
I will never buy anything from their company again. Respectfully, M.M.Minder

Best Product out there/Fantastic Price from Amazon,

This review is from: Merial Frontline Plus Flea and Tick Control for 23-to-44-Pound Dogs and Puppies, 6 Doses (Misc.)
I have tried everything for my two dogs, nothing works better than Frontline. They don't itch or scratch themselves at all with it. With other products they always did. There is no odor and it's waterproof and you don't have to run the stripe down their back.
