Snagged this download for $2.50 and would have expected to pay much more for such a good game. The graphics are superb and very smooth when maxed out, and runs with no problem on my Windows 7 machine (Intel i7 processor, Raedon 5670 graphics card). The story line is decent and game play is pretty fun. The environment is really neat with lots of freedom to move around, explore spaces, pick up and manipulate objects, etc. Nothing real involved or advanced here, but some good eye candy and something to keep you occupied for a few hours.

Game looked interesting, and for $1.25, I couldn't refuse. Not too far into the campaign, but so far the story is somewhat interesting. The graphics are nothing special even at max, but not bad enough to notice the quality. Levels seem very "close-quarters" which gives it a retro shooter feel. The guns are nothing special. Also, many have commented on the game's difficulty. Even at normal, enemies can take you down pretty quick while they themselves take a few shots. It's refreshing for me to see a more difficult game, but if you're not into that then it might get frustrating.

Overall: good game to play around in for $1.25 but I would be disappointed if I got it for $5.

So the game has an OK storyline which is really important for me.
the graphics are good if you put everything on max.
i'm not going to say much, only one thing:
i bought it for 5$ which is super cheap for this kind of game that's why i'm giving it 4 stars.

P.S.
if you have spare time which you would like to waste on playing a shooter and have an extra 5$ than i totally recommend this game!

Alpha Prime is most notable for it's very low price. It feels very much like Half Life 2 in that the player essentially progressed through maps that can only be completed one way, killing lots of enemies with various weapons. However, even on easy, Alpha Prime is not as noob friendly as HL2. Textures vary from very good to not very detailed. Gameplay is pretty good with a few interesting features such as hacking, low oxygen areas (your suit includes an oxygen supply), and slow-motion thrown in. If anything, I wish there was more use of hacking. Frankly, the worst part of the game is the stupid stuff the characters say. When the intended meaning can be comprehended at all it is incredibly poorly written and not in the least inspiring or even capable of drawing the player into the story.
Pros:
*Can lean out around corners
*Primary assault-like weapon has more accurate zoomed mode (but no scope)
*Occasional hackable electronics
*Pretty cool vehicle ride
*Load and save from any point
Cons:
*Hacking rarely used
*Terrible script

This was a great game for 5 bucks. I would have paid 50 bucks for it. It beats the new COD hands down. Very long single player game. Worked great with Windows 7(64).

Fun FPS with a decent story line. I thought it was a little too short with an ending set-up for a sequel. Also, on normal mode the bad guys NEVER miss, which is annoying. I would wait for the sale price of $5.00.

For the price there is really no logical reason any FPS fan shouldn't download this game. Sure its production value is rather low but the action is solid and the graphics are more than acceptable. Is it as good as COD? Of course not! That's like comparing "Great Value" coffee to a custom Starbucks roast. Of course the Bucks is better but at the end of the day the generic coffee will get you going. Aplha Prime is that cup of hot generic coffee. Nothing really new or groundbreaking but it satisifes the shooter itch just fine and is an amazing deal. Download away!
