This barbie is very durable (which unless you're stupid is a good thing) plus it is very beautiful. This makes a great collector doll.Finally a durable Fairytopia doll, a great doll and price.

This is such a beautiful doll and the pictures do it no justice! It is very durable and beautiful,it's my neices new favorite doll (she loves mermaids) and are much more durable than the rest of the Fairytopia dolls so you won't have to worry about things falling off. Beautiful, beautiful mermaids that would make good playpals and good collector's dolls!

wow what a pretty original mermaid.I cant wait til November 1st so I can get her in the mall! I love her tail and like her more than my fairies!

I bought this doll for my daughter because she wanted to "magically" change the hair color and add color to the arms and torso. Although she loves her doll, we were disappointed because we couldn't get the colors to work. I called Mattel to find out if we had a defective doll or if we weren't using it correctly.

The person I spoke to from Mattel told me that only the streaky hair will change color. Based on trial and error, I discovered that the water has to be very very warm like bath water in order for the color change to work. My daughter told me that her friends at school are putting the hair into their mouths and sucking on it to change the color. Lukewarm water and cold water (per instructions) do not work.

I was also told that the patterns on the arms and torso are very subtle and not vibrant like the picture on the box. She told me that the box is deceiving. You have to use icy, very cold water for this to work (note this temperature water will not work on the hair). When my daughter was playing with it at night, we could barely see any patterns. However, it was more noticeable in the daytime in a bright room.

Overall a decent doll. I would suggest not buying these dolls just for the "magic" features. It's a good doll for little girls because there are no small parts except for the wand. It would work also as a bath toy although the Mattel person I spoke to didn't recommend soaking it in water too long or it may get waterlogged. I would have given this doll higher marks but I hesitated because of it's mediocre "magic" features.

This doll is just simply gorgeous! I'm a big fan of Fairytopia, and Sirena(Magical mermaid) along with this doll, Merissa, are my favorites of the line of Fairytopia dolls!
Merissa has beautiful purple/blue hair, has a gorgeous tail, and a beautiful & creative top. The tatoos also add to her beauty.
Well worth the money!

I just got this doll and she is very fun to play with! i rub ice on her to make her hair change color and make the cool designs appear but the designs go away to quickly if you ask me Mattel should have just made the designs permanent anyways this doll is cool and everyone should buy it!

I LOVE THIS TOY! It's beautiful. i think she is the prettiest out of her Nori and Shella. She's so nicre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got all three mermaids for Christmas(Merissa, Nori, and Shella) and they are so much fun! Not to mention how pretty they are! I haven't had any trouble as far as durablity goes, and the price is great! I could easily find myself paying $15 or $20 for this doll! Plus, this doll isn't just for kids, it would be a great addition to any collection!

Ok,to me,fairies,ballerina`s,and mermaids have been my favorite!I always dreamed of a Barbie movie.And a few years ago,Barbies creaters have done that for us.I read the reviews(on the first page)and alot were about how to get the doll to turn different colors.The solution of that is to use HOT(well,bathtub water temperature)to change it,and ice cold water to change it back.I think that this is a great doll and I really want her.

My daughter enjoys this toy. She primarily plays with it in the bath. The streaky hair changes color and the tattoos disappear instantly in warm bath water. I realized right off the tattoos wouldn't return with cold water while the doll was so warm from the bath so we used ice cubes. It is like magic appearing and disappearing tattoos. The hair will also change back quickly if you apply ice.
