Good - quick read
This is a good story. I enjoyed this summer read enough to obtain more from the same author.

Very, very disappointing
I've read (to my son) the Lost Years of Merlin series, the Avalon Series and the first book in this series. I loved the writing as well as the stories. This book was a huge disappointment. It felt as if it had been rushed and was filled with "I wonder if I'll ever know xxx..." sentences as quick substitute for actually fleshing out the story. None of the...

I've read (to my son) the Lost Years of Merlin series, the Avalon Series and the first book in this series. I loved the writing as well as the stories.
This book was a huge disappointment. It felt as if it had been rushed and was filled with "I wonder if I'll ever know xxx..." sentences as quick substitute for actually fleshing out the story. None of the richness of the stories in the other series (or even in the first book of this series). I can't see buying the last book when it comes out - perhaps it's time for Mr. Barron to move on to another topic?
