5.0 out of 5 stars THEY ARE BOLD AND FREE IN THEIR FEELINGS
Merlin Legacy has the power to make me sit there whole day just to finish the whole book. I have the whole set of of Merlin's Legacy at home from book 1 to 6. After reading Dawns of Camelot. I went back to read the full set starting from Daughter of Fire. To all Merlin's Legacy fans out there, don't you think there's something wrong with the story? In the first...

I've enjoyed the Merlin's Legacy series since I stumbled across it in the book store and have not been able to put them down since. I've enjoyed the Merlin's Legacy series since I stumbled across it in the book store and have not been able to put them down since. However I was a little disappointed in the way that this book came to an end. I was very upset to learn the Conner had died after only a few years with Meg. Also I found that the book lacked the heart that her others had in them. Add that to the fact that it looked like the author went a little wild with the cut and paste buttons, several of the passages were EXACTLY the same as previous ones. I still will continue to read the future books that come out under this title I just hope that they are more original and have more heart than this book has.

2.0 out of 5 stars I loved the characters, but..., November 16, 2000

I have been reading this series since the very first. I stumbled on this book long after I had thought the series had come to a close. (I understand that the previous one was very good, but I have been unable to run across one in my local bookstores, so I have it on order here.) Anyway, I was quite taken with the character of Rhianne, but I found the plotline itself to be rather lack luster. It was missing some of the energy of the previous books and it forced some rather out of character actions onto the herouine.

I found one particular group of scenes so difficult to track that I would almost say that the author rewrote it several times and included every version. Others seemed as if they were copied and pasted in several times. Too much descriptive vocabulary was copied from one scene to the next.

In short, I would have preferred to see Rhianne's character transplanted into an entirely different story. She had such a strength of character in the beginning. I felt that her author had failed her by placing her in a story which had such obvious weaknesses.

I went back to read the full set starting from Daughter of Fire. To all Merlin's Legacy fans out there, don't you think there's something wrong with the story? In the first book, it was said that Meg was born between a mortal and a non-mortal but I'm very sure when I was reading Shadows of Camelot, Meg is a 100% immortal. Overall, I'm still waiting very anxiously for the next book. I was rather disappointed when there was no review of the next coming book at the last page of Daugher of Camelot. Will there be a next book?

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but a little less than the others., September 18, 1999

This review is from: Merlin's Legacy #06: Daughter Of Camelot (Paperback)
I've read all the books in the series. If Meg saved Merlin from the evil one's wasting sickness in a previous book, then why couldn't Connor be saved from the same? I also have to say that I felt like the ending was too simple.

5.0 out of 5 stars I like feisty heroines., July 10, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Merlin's Legacy #06: Daughter Of Camelot (Paperback)
I've read all six books in the series and this one just might be my favorite. I read straight through in one evening, now I'm reading it again. Rianne is the sort of heroine I really like; feisty, someone who's had to make it on her own, and then she meets someone she can't bluff, bluster, or talk her way around--someone to fall in love with. I was so sad when her father, Conner died, but at least she had a chance to build a relationship with him. And it was a necessary part of the story. I can hardly wait for the next book-- The Young Dragons!!!

I would just like to say that these books are addictive once you start reading them you just can't stop I have honestly enjoyed all of the ones that I have read unfortunately I cant get my hands on the sixth one but I am still looking The author has given us fantasy and romance all in one story and for me that is the greatest part.I hope every one who has read this set of books has gotten the same enjoyment out of them as I have Thank you, Quinn Taylor Evans for such a wonderful imagination.

5.0 out of 5 stars The fight against Darkness continues with Rianne., July 11, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Merlin's Legacy #06: Daughter Of Camelot (Paperback)
The fight against Darkness continues with Meg's daughter who had been sent to protect her from the Darkness that is to be the ruination of Arthur, Camelot and all of England. Only Meg's beloved husband is mortally wounded, and their daughter Rianne must be found before he dies. Tristan goes in search for Rianne. Instead of finding a protected and loved child, he finds a surly woman dressed as a thieving boy. Rianne had lost her protective guardians long ago and has been living by her wits and just a bit of the immortal Light that flows in her veins. Tristan drags Rianne back to her parents. Amazingly, Evans has done it again to perfection! Her unique characters are exquisite foils in this continuing fantastic story.

5.0 out of 5 stars FannnTAStic == I read it in 6 hours and then reread it slow., June 6, 1999

This review is from: Merlin's Legacy #06: Daughter Of Camelot (Paperback)
I read DAWN OF CAMELOT on Saturday and this one on Sunday! It was so interesting to see the OTHER side of Meg. It would have been more interesting if Connor would have lasted a little longer, BUT----. I can't wait to see what happens to Rianne's son. I hope Ms Evans is going to bring us up to Viv & her sisters and then on to ?????I have started rereading the entire series all over again!! This time, I'll savor them like a fine wine. The characters and stories are fasinating and make Merlin so much more interesting.

3.0 out of 5 stars Meg and Connor's daughter comes on the scene!, June 1, 1999
By
This review is from: Merlin's Legacy #06: Daughter Of Camelot (Paperback)
I eagerly awaited this book. The last five were so good that the sixth had to be a blockbuster. Unfortunately it didn't turn out that way. In this book Meg and Connor's daughter, Rianne, is full grown and has to be found. Tristan is sent on the hunt and inevitably the two are thrust together. I wont tell all, but there isn't the same passion and romance in this story as there was in the others. There is plenty of description; lot's and lot's in fact. I wonder if the author was in a rush to get this out because it doesn't have her usual fire. Merlin's Legacy is such a great story to tell. The book leaves you wide open to continue it. I hope the author keeps going!!
