This single comes out 7 months after "Happiness". Mermaid's got a catchy rock tune while the side track--Rock icon, as named, really rocks. You may not be able to follow the lyrics as you listen to the song even though you got the lyrics. I think Glay's kept up their standard in this single and Rock icon is definitely a surprise (although some people couldn't take it). In conclusion, this single is a worth buying one.

Five stars. Usually only my most favourite stuff gets 5 stars (Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, etc...

The instrumental is exactly the same as the normal version, but just no vocals, but is still cool cos you can hear a few things in the background that are harder to hear with the vocals going.

The 2nd track "Rock Icon" is quite cool too, and the chorus has lyrics from "a day in the life" (which is perhaps my favourite Beatles song).

But the best track is, of course, the first track Mermaid. It is very amazing, and quite different to their "new stuff" and quite different from their "old stuff"... A great addition to your CD collection (and the lyrics are included!)
