DRESS UP FUN FOR LITTLE GIRLS, October 10, 2004
This review is from: The Mermaid's Manual (Hardcover)
Most little girls love to play dress-up. Remember the fun it was to go into grandmother's closet or attic then try on her dresses and boas? The modern little miss might find that a bit old hat (pun intended), but she'll surely find pretending to be a mermaid the ultimate in dress-up play.
Thanks to The Mermaid's Manual, a padded shell shaped 7 ½" by 11" snap-closed book, youngsters can shimmer and flip their fins to their heart's content. Recommended for 4 through 8-year-olds, the book holds the most important element of all - a glittery fishtail. Plus, since she'll want to be a princess mermaid there's a tiara and hair extensions.
What's a mermaid without her accessories? There's also a shell bracelet, coral combs, and jewels. Since land born children must learn to be mermaids there are also stickers, a mermaid student card, and a magazine.
The Mermaid Manual promises hours of imaginative play and fun. Little make-believe mermaids won't care if it rains and they can't go outside to play - there's lots of excitement in this make believe undersea world.
